Is 'Agent Carter' Getting a Third Season? The Answer Might Not be a Solid 'No' Anymore!

We’ve been hearing all season that Agent Carter hasn’t had the ratings it would need to get a third season. There could be a lot of reasons for this, but the biggest one is probably that it was originally scheduled as a one-off and it’s not clear how well ABC managed to get word out that it would be coming back. However, despite the continued dismal ratings for the two-part finale, Nerd Reactor says there’s a CHANCE that it might be coming back:

However, we have some good news. A source within the studio has revealed to us that ABC has decided to stick with the show and will be renewing Agent Carter for season three. Marvel hasn’t made the official announcement yet, but it has revealed that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been renewed for season four.

Now, it’s difficult to get TOO excited on the word of an unnamed source, but at least it’s a ray of light in the gloomy darkness of a future without Peggy Carter. How would this fit in with Hayley Atwell’s other commitments? Who knows. Again, it’s all basically rumors so far. But we can hold those rumors close as we await definitive news.
