Introducing Fat Mac and a Very Special Season of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

Fans of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” already know Rob McElhenney put on an extraordinary amount of weight for the upcoming season of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Fat Mac begins his run on September 15th and while I expect the first few episodes to be great — rebounding from an off season six — I am concerned that Mac’s weight gain will dominate the entire season, and the joke might wear out its welcome by episode four.

But then again: Everything is better with Charlie Day.

That end frame is priceless

So far, my favorite thing about this is the difference in Mac's wardrobe. Gone are the tight fitted Tees, and on come the more flowy button-ups. That's just a damn perfect observation about weight gain.

I do hope the entire season doesn't revolve around this, but I think these guys are smart enough to get it. Also, season six was weak? I've been hearing that a lot lately, but I loved it...

Off? Season six? You must have watched it wrong.

I stopped watching after season four. Season four and the few episodes I've seen after that have all been rather phoned in. Whole lot of actual talk about nothing. Though it isn't even funny talk about nothing. It's supposed to be funny because it is, I suppose. I'll take Archer and Louie when it comes to FX comedy. Hell FX anything.

^ works for FX.

Season 6 had some really great episodes (including my new fav, "The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention"). Dustin just likes to shit on things.

I'm going to call him Big Mac. I don't care if McDonald's has the trademark on that.

season 6 had the boat episode, right? And also that derelict pool episode? Those were great.

Re Charlie....I have it on good authority that he brings nothing to the table.

Couldn't resist ;-)

That'd be the dream job, Martin. Getting paid to not like a network. Well, "network".
