In Photos: Multi-Dimensional Robert Downey, Jr. Can Hold a Baby and Wear Iron Man 3 Suit on the Same Day

The Daily Mail got their hands on set photos from Iron Man 3, which reveals not only Iron Man's new suit, but also the one worn by War Machine (Don Cheadle). They're color-coordinated, but I'm still concerned that the suit is not equipped with a holster for their fun bits. It doesn't look like comfortable-wear for men. They should probably get Hanes to help out.

Of course, this being The Daily Mail and understanding the value of an actual celebrity face in their photo galleries, they also have images of RDJ relaxing pool-side while holding his six-month-old baby, Exton. Yes. His baby's name is still Exton. Unfortunately, there was no naming remorse followed by a quick trip to the records office with a more suitable name like Ian, the name of RDJ's Weird Science character. But then again, Exton has nothing to worry about as a grade-schooler because no matter what his classmates say, he'll always have the perfect retort: "My Dad is Iron Man. Go f*ck yourself."

Here's the set photos and the more adorable baby-holding photos.

Holy shit balls is that sum Iron Patirot?!

  • Natallica

When I saw the photo of RDJ with baby, I saw this: http://www.moviequotesandmore....

  • Also this being the Daily Mail, the reason that Iron Man 2 was so terrible was all those immigrants and lefties taking our good jobs and actually writing scripts.

  • Microsoft Exton

    + 1024 upvotes.

Who cares about the non-geeks who didn't get it.

  • I think that's Iron Patriot armor and not War Machine. I have zero familiarity with Iron Man beyond the movies, but I think I remember reading that Iron Patriot was one of the bad guys in this movie.

  • Well technically the Iron Patriot was worn by Norman Osborn during the Dark Reign storyline. He stole Tony Stark's old wardrobe (literally) and went all Toby Keith on the paint job. Thankfully without the "truck nuts." Thus it seems likely that they're combining the War Machine character (which was nineties style edgy Iron Man) with the government servant Iron Patriot motif.

    Now where's my damn No-Prize?

Shhhhh. Just look at the baby. Awwwww, right?

  • I have a one month old that is getting all of the awwwws at the moment. When I'm out of the house I demand cold, calculated facts about comic book people.

I can totally relate to, and absolutely respect, this line of thinking.

  • Who...who is getting all of the awwwws. Who not that. Who.

  • danielrandkai

You are correct, that IS the Iron Patriot armor. Sadly, it won't be Norman Osbourne wearing the suit like it "should" be. That would have been awesome.

    Iron Man 4: Iron Baby

Marvel Team-up: Iron Dad and Iron Baby vs. Godzilla

  • Would this be better for Iron Man 4 or Baby Geniuses 3?

Iron Man 5: Iron Baby vs. Baby Weeping Angels

  • Too soon.

  • TherecanbeonlyoneAdmin

That is a Swimmer, BWeaves. A non-absorbent, tear-away covering meant only to hold fecal matter close to the body so as not to contaminate the pool and cause a mass evacuation event and total close down. I'm not sure what the baby is wearing.

Are RDJ and Exton wearing matching Pampers?
