Images from Drive: Confident without Being Cocky; Brash without Being Douchy. I Want to Sex This Man's Posture

Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Ron Perlman, and Christina Hendricks star in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, in which Gosling plays a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a wheelman and discovers that a contract has been put out on him after a heist gone wrong. Below the images is the first clip from Drive, which suggests the subtle intensity of Michael Mann.

That last image is clearly the result of the image that preceded it.

Gosling in car -> pretty ladies -> Perlman sees Gosling as competition -> BA-DOING!

This looks great, but thank god for the Gosling because I find Ron Pearlman extremely hard to look at. Just started Sons of Anarchy, and yes, he's badass, but YIKES.

Am I supposed to take his costume seriously?

Posted by: Jay at May 10, 2011 9:53 AM

Dang. I think I might've finally started to see what the big deal about Gosling is. He's lookin' good, even with the goofy outfit.

Posted by: Figgy at May 10, 2011 10:12 AM

I am ALL about this. The unexpected combination of Gosling/Hendricks/Mulligan is totally attractive to me as is the retro-ish vibe the movie gives off. All three of those people deserve good work and this seems like it might be that.

Yeah, sex with his "posture"...

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at May 10, 2011 10:36 AM

Myyy goodness. Can a photo of a car in mid-air look somber? This one does.

Chendricks still isn't a convincing fake smoker, but daaaaamn, could I not care less.

Wha Caroline? It seems weird seeing as I think she's smoking all the time. /rimshot /rotten tomato

Baby Goose is glad he wore those orthopedic shoes now I bet.

Posted by: Socrates_Johnson at May 10, 2011 11:10 AM

Ahahahaha. Well played, well played.

I thought Bryan Cranston was gonna be in this?

Here's my review of the book from last year's Cannonball.

Can. Not. Wait.

Am I the only one who can barely tell Carey Mulligan from Michelle Williams? Especially with the blonde pixie cuts.

Can someone please explain to me how these online photos look like someone stepped on them and scuffed them across the pavement?

Posted by: BWeaves at May 10, 2011 11:32 AM

Ryan Gosling + Christina Hendricks + Carey Mulligan and one of my favorite "types" of movies, the heist? SOLD. That's all I need to know.

Posted by: Sara H at May 10, 2011 11:34 AM

The Perlman hit that. ALL of that.

Posted by: admin at May 10, 2011 11:49 AM

You know he did, admin. The Goose was his favorite.

Posted by: Figgy at May 10, 2011 12:22 PM

So delicious. Seriously, I need him to be my boyfriend.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at May 10, 2011 1:56 PM

I stand corrected.

Posted by: zeke the pig at May 10, 2011 4:33 PM

I'll watch Ryan Gosling do anything.

Can't wait.

(Plus how bad do I want him and Carey Mulligan to be a real life couple?? SO bad).

Posted by: grace b at May 10, 2011 5:37 PM

this was good

Posted by: splinter at May 10, 2011 5:59 PM

If the movie is as good as that sample scene, then it will rock!
