The third season premiere of HBO’s True Blood airs Sunday, June 13th, but for those of us sitting around salivating, there are plenty of teasers, trailers and posters. To entice our thirst even more, series creator and director has written six minisodes, the first of which aired last night on HBO (and was released on the interwebs last week). The minisodes are being shown after Season 2 episodes being rerun (Sunday nights, 8 pm est) for those of you who would like to catch up or refresh, and honestly, who couldn’t use a little more Alex Skarsgård?

This first minisode doesn’t have a whole lot going on, it’s just vampires Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and Pam (Kristin Bauer) auditioning dancers for Fangtasia - but it does remind us of True Blood’s sense of humor and Eric’s seductive mannerisms. Again I ask you, who couldn’t use a little more Alex Skarsgård?

And last night’s airing included a teaser for the next minisode, featuring newly turned Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) on the hunt for a man…or dinner.

Eh, I'm not going to bother this year. I was really bored with it by the end of last season. I just can't see any reason to care about any of the characters.

mmmmmm Eric... looks like they're going for the "club dead" story line this season... which should be fun...

related note... I believe the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel came out today :)

The Jessica minisode can be found online already as well: here, for example. I don't think they're all that special, but then they're not really supposed to be. I can't wait for the actual third season to kick off! The third book in the series was pretty entertaining.

Is it a conceit of the books or the TV version that all humans dress as if they just came from serving funnel cakes to the tourists in Branson and all vampires have impeccable taste in the latest edgy clothing?

Todd, I share your feeling of last season kind of boring me, and I too don't care much for the characters. But then they show Skarsgård and that's it. I'm watching it again...

Paddy, it's a TV thing. In the books, all the vampires have their own styles going on and only dress chic and gothy when they're "working" at the club, like a work uniform, to mold to what humans expect vampires to dress like.

SWEEEEEEEEEEET.

Oh Skarsgard. Oh. Oh.

Eric wears track suits as casual attire. I don't think I would call that impeccable taste.

Eric is seriously sexier than Bill (who in my opinion looks like he's been decomposing for 3 days straight).
So yeah, I'm on for a lot more of Mr Skarsgård.

Tyler, when Eric wears a track suit, it becomes impeccable taste. Like those Most Interesting Man in the World commercials, but with lots of hawt, bruise-inducing sexual encounters.

Good lord. That man.

Shit. Am I the only guy that likes this show?

Male here. I didn't think much of season 1, but I'm really enjoying S2. (Xmission dates a bit behind here in Europe).
Bill, though? Man, he's fucking annoying. He's basically a fringe with teeth.

Actually now I think about it, it's the minor characters I've been enjoying.

Um, yeah, I'm a guy too.
