Paul-Dano_l.jpg

Paul Dano scares the crap out of me. He seems like one of those mild-mannered, quiet types that turns out to be a serial killer, systematically snuffing the life out of people as nonchalantly as I might dry the dishes. Even when he smiles politely, I’m frightened. I guess that makes him a good actor…UNLESS…behind the good actor facade he’s really a serial killer. You can see how I’m easily led down the conspiracy theory path, not that that has anything to do with anything.

Brilliant writer/director Rian Johnson (The Brothers Bloom, Brick) has been working on his next film, a science fiction thriller about a group of killers called Loopers. The Loopers work for a crime syndicate who sends their victims from the future back in time to be dispatched. JGL and Bruce Willis play the same character at different points in time and The Playlist says that Dano will play a pivotal role as Seth, a fellow Looper.

Johnson has created a cool and cryptic blog with Looper hints and tidbits following the film’s progress. Meantime, try not to think about Dano sneaking up behind you to wipe out your future.

Looper also stars Emily Blunt and is expected to start filming in January.

Damn this movie sounds awesome. I've been itching to watch Brick lately and The Brothers Bloom is on my Netflix list. Johnson does great work.

Yea I thought Paul Dano was pretty good in Gigantic but I'm not crazy about him.

And I am a snake head eating the head on the opposite side.

This sounds like a movie written specifically for me! And JGL? I'm sold.

Rian Johnson filmed The Mountain Goats. I am forever in his debt. I will have a ticket.

I think he's kind of fascinating and strangely attractive. I hope that doesn't make me one of those weirdos that sends fan mail to serial killers in prison.

I trust Rian Johnson completely and will absolutely see this, but this premise sounds whackadoo. Sending the VICTIMS back in time? That's a convoluted way to get rid of somebody. (Or maybe it's not in the film's universe. Hmm...)

Don't blink. You blink and you're dead.

Oh, this sounds way too fucking conceptual for my tastes - but JGL-Dano-Blunt? I'll be there.

I have been fascinated by Dano since his role in the girl next door and think that he's going to grow to be a seriously brilliant actor. Plus Blunt is pure sex.

Dear Ken Hart,
It's good to know I'm not the only one who thought, "Hmm sending people back in time to kill them? That sounds oddly familiar" *Cue Doctor Who theme*

P.S. Not to say it'll be the same, the movie actually sounds pretty decent.
