I hope I didn’t oversell it with that headline, because we already know — from Caspar’s Cannes review — that Andrew Dominick (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford) has made a “tight, gorgeously filmed, bracingly political gangster flick.” The trailer here just confirms it. In addition to Pitt and Jenkins, the film also stars James Gandolfini, Ray Liotta, and Sam Shepard.

Bad-ass Brad is the best Brad. I am so sold.

It's a shame movie theaters show so little imagination. I'd easily pay what they asked for a double feature of this and "Killer Joe," and so would Mrs. ,, who loves her some MM. The only chance of that happening anywhere though, I'm figuring, is at a real ballsy drive in, where nevertheless the dialogue would just be all mmmbmmmmmlmmmmbmm through crappy speakers.
