Here Are "Saturday Night Live's" Next Four Featured Players, According to Reports

By Dustin Rowles | Trade News | August 23, 2013 | Comments ()

Here is the foursome that Deadline is reporting will land spots as the next four featured players on “Saturday Night Live,” filling holes left by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Seth Meyers in February.

Kyle Mooney

Beck Bennett

Noël Wells

John Milhiser

All four have been performers at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, and Mooney and Bennett are a part of a sketch comedy group, Good Neighbor, which apparently has a deal with Comedy Central that “SNL” needs to work out. Otherwise, while they have a variety of screen appearances between them, there’s nothing at all notable.

YouTube tells me the woman on the right in this video is Noele Wells.

Here’s Beck Bennet on the right.

Here’s Milhiser’s sketch reel (which includes Ellie Kemper)

Here’s Kyle Mooney in action.

Holy crap! I've been subscribed to Noel Wells on youtube for years now. Her Zooey videos are hilarious, good luck Noel !!

  • Littlejon2001

Beck Bennet and Kyle Mooney are two of the funniest men around right now and better yet, have be doing sketch comedy for years and years. The fact that they are apart of the excellent group Good Neighbor is just an added bonus. I can't be upset with those picks, even if it does mean a lack of diversity.

I wish they picked a woman who didn't just do impressions though. They have enough impressionists on the show. This was an excellent time to pick a really funny black woman and they probably didn't even try. They need to get over this idea that impressions = funny. Just because you can do good impressions, does not mean you're funny.

Good Neighbor has some hilarious sketches.

  • RilesSD

Kyle Mooney was fucking hilarious on the Norm Sports Show on Comedy Central. He played a really awkward and incomprehensible man-on-the-street interviewer.

  • SlurpyDurp

Good Neighbor Stuff has some pretty great sketches. Do yourself a favor and search "Outrageous Fun" on Youtube. And Kyle Mooney does awkward as well as anybody. Really happy that Beck Bennett won't forever be "That guy from the AT&T commercials."

  • All the white people

  • BendinIntheWind

If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and binge-watch every single episode of "My Drunk Kitchen". It will put you in the best of Friday moods.

  • Tinkerville

She went to my sister's apartment for one of her recent traveling episodes. Yes, my sister got drunk and cooked with Hannah and I'm still seething with jealousy.

  • BendinIntheWind

She deserves a firm boob-punch for that. And when she gets all mad and asks you why, you look her square in the eye and growl "You know what you did."

  • Could we have the Drunk Kitchen girl instead of Noel? Impressions notwithstanding, she seems... funnier?

  • Homestar

My Drunk Kitchen is pretty funny.

  • mb

It makes me feel weird admitting it, but I have something of a crush on the AT&T guy. I'm kind of excited that he's joining SNL. Might make the hole left by HADER! a little smaller.

  • six6sixwitch

Ugh, all these blacks and asians on this show, it's too much affiirmative actions, everyone knows black people are only funny when they dance! What's up with that? WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???????

  • Bert_McGurt

I don't know about you guys, but I was hoping for Ben Affleck.

  • Well, these casting choices will certainly get people to stop complaining about the lack of diversity on SNL!

  • sjfromsj

Is it bad that I'm satisfied enough that they at the very least replaced one of the men with a woman?

  • We take our victories where we can.

  • jM

I guess we're in for a bunch of sketches about Zooey Deschanel.

  • John W

    She does look like her.

  • kirivinokur

I was thinking Moira Kelly. Because she's very relevant right now.

  • mairimba

Beck Bennet is the AT&T guy with the kids. I love those commercials! And he was also on S4 of Arrested Development.

  • Captain_Tuttle

Aaaaaaaah! I love him. I may have to start watching SNL again. Well, taping it. That's way past my bedtime.

  • BigBlueKY

yeah I will definitely watch solely to see the AT&T dude. FO SHO.

  • dizzylucy

I love those too, and his delivery in those is great.

  • Guest

And he was also on S4 of Arrested Development.

  • InternetMagpie

My mother had that Mickey Mouse shirt Kyle Mooney is wearing in that video.

Mooney also was on an episode of Parks and Rec as a dude interviewing for Tom's job. He was hoping to get one month worth of money.
