He Was Pagliacci: Late Night Pays Tribute to Williams.

I suspect most of us are reaching our limits with Robin Williams posts, but I thought this might be a nice way to wrap it up. Both Conan and Fallon paid tribute to Williams last night in ways that help bridge the “This is the saddest thing I’ve ever heard” feeling to the “Let’s remember how funny and joyful he was” feeling.

Because seriously, he was so funny. Fallon showed footage of Williams’ first Tonight Show appearance, and breaks out his own Williams impression.

Conan instead told a more personal story about one instance in his fairly casual relationship with Williams.

If that bike story doesn’t embody everything we’ve heard about Williams the past few days, nothing ever will. At this point, “Startlingly Generous and Wickedly Funny” is the only thing his tombstone could say.

RIP, you goofy son of a bitch.
