Has Godtopus Gone Hollywood?

Do I spy a tentacle? Why yes, yes I do. Oh Godtopus, why has thou forsaken us? Is it the millions of dollars, your suckers long to clench? The fame? The idea of terrorizing row upon row of eager theater patrons? That must be it, for striking fear in the hearts of men has always been our dear deity’s favorite pastime. And really, who could blame him? Remember the thrill of putting on your favorite Halloween monster costume, breaking out your best growl and waiting for your parents or siblings to pretend they were afraid? Intoxicating, no?

We are Pajibans and we like to either scare or be scared. Who among us hasn’t delighted, and yet still been terrified, at the thought of running into a nighttime Skitz? (Yeah - I know, not me either.)

Anyway, if you haven’t yet been able to attend a Pajibacon in your neck of the woods, checking out Godtopus might be the next best thing. I’m pretty sure he’s making a special appearance in this latest trailer for Monsters.

Writer/director Gareth Edwards’ first feature, Monsters, is the tale of Earth’s alien invasion and a journalist (Andrew Kaulder) trying to escort a tourist (Samantha Wynden) through a Mexican “infected” zone. I’m not worried though, Godtopus is a kind and benevolent monster. Don’t forget the little people, man! Er…creature.

Great video of a black bear in the dark with its eyes closed.

i think making "moonless night of the black bear" a silent feature was a stroke of genius--grab the retro chic crowd

Hulu, I don't care how polite your exclusion message is, I still want to slap you backwards.

Hopefully Monsters will follow in the footsteps of Paranormal Activity and The Last Exorcism in terms of quality.

Sincerely,

The Great and Mysterious Beaver Moose hereby takes out a contract on Hulu, not for denying access, but on account of general snarkiness.

"They are residents"

Ha ha...
Were they given amnesty?
Who knew this movie was an allegory for the immigration debate?
