— Attempts to do so in the past have never materialized, so nothing may ever come of this, but Fox is reportedly attempting again to remake Clue with an action-adventure twist and designs on conquering a worldwide audience. It could work. It could be fun. Or, more likely, it will fall apart.

Birth.Movies.Death (*shudder*) is reporting that the film John Turturro is currently filming — Going Places, a remake of a French farce — is actually a spin-off of The Big Lebowski centered on his character, Jesus. Bobby Cannavale, Audrey Tautou, and Susan Sarandon also star. The Coen Brothers apparently have no involvement with the spin-off, which is about “two petty thieves, Turturro’s Jesus and Cannavale’s Petey, [who] compete to give a woman (Tautou) her first orgasm after she’s roped into their hijinks.” We’ll take BDM’s word for it.

— There will be a Pokemon movie. Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls) are in talks to write it.

— The Star is Born remake has finally gotten a green light. It will star Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Cooper is producing and co-writing the script for Warner Brothers.

— Will Ferrell And John C. Reilly are reuniting for Holmes and Watson, a PG-13 comedy with Ferrell playing Sherlock Holmes and Reilly playing his sidekick, John Watson.

— Lin-Manuel Miranda will be writing the music for the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, which does not yet have a cast we can approve or disapprove of. We”ll have to settle for approving of their choice for writing the music. (MIranda named his son Sebastian after a character in Little Mermaid.)

— Speaking of Lin-Manuel Miranda, his sequel to Marry Poppins with Emily Blunt will also feature an appearance from the original Mary Poppins, Julie Andrews, as well as Dick Van Dyke, according to E!
