'Friday Night at the Luncheonette': A Crossover of Brain-Melting Proportions

As part of their Hey Don’t Forget About Us During the Olympics campaign, NBC is making our dreams come true.

This week the network will launch four web series spin offs of their regular shows. The one that will make you pee all over yourself in excitement is a Parenthood-Friday Night Lights crossover called Friday Night at the Luncheonette. Take a moment to read that again if you need to. I’ll wait.

According to TV Guide, the series is EXACTLY what you’re hoping it will be. Amber (Mae Whitman) is babysitting Max (Max Burkholder) and working after hours at the Luncheonette when Crucifictorious shows up (!!!!!!) and things get out of control. Oh, and Billy Riggins is there too.

If Amber and Landry start having sexy times, I’m convinced NBC executives have been reading my fanfic.

Friday Night at the Luncheonette premiers Thursday.

H/T to the JR

Vivian Kane would have gone with Stigmatalingus.

    If I can't have 33, I'll take Billy Riggins.

    I'm not that picky.

So I hate Parenthood but I am watching this!

  • Cheryl

This absolutely made my day! I wonder if Caleb Landry Jones will be back on drums.

  • I always wish they had done more with Amber and Max together. Mae Whitman and Max Burkholder played off one another really well in those few episodes awhile ago. Add in the FNL crossover and I am all over this. Bonus: No Joel and Julia angst, no Camilla's midlife crisis. I need this so much.

Oh man. I gave up on Parenthood a few weeks ago, but this will absolutely return Parenthood to its original DVR status. Jason Katims, YOU ALWAYS KNOW HOW TO PULL ME BACK IN.

  • Michelle

I have no words for how excited I am by this.
