Fox's Unveils Its 2013-2014 Primetime Schedule

By Dustin Rowles | Trade News | May 13, 2013 | Comments ()

Fox released it's new primetime schedule for 2012-2013 this morning, and unlike NBC, there's not nearly as much movement. "Sleepy Hollow" has been added to Mondays in the fall, and two new sitcoms have taken the 8-9 slot on Tuesdays in front of "New Girl." Meanwhile, the brilliant "Raising Hope" has, sadly, been moved to Fridays, starting in late fall. The quirky Greg Kinnear legal drama will give "Glee" a midseason spell, and "Bones" will also move to Friday in late fall to make room for "Almost Human."

New shows "Gang Related," "Surviving Jack," "Us & Them," and "Murder Police" will bow at midseason, while "New Girl" has been given the post-"Super Bowl" slot this year.

8-9 PM - "Bones" (fall) /"Almost Human" (new; late fall)
9-10 PM - "Sleepy Hollow" (new; fall) / "The Following" (midseason)

9-10 PM - "Glee" (fall) / "Rake" (new; midseason)

Here are descriptions of the new shows, via EW.

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE. A group of detectives form an odd family in their precinct in the outermost neighborhood of New York City. Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Andre Braugher star.

DADS. Two successful guys in their 30s have their world turned upside down when their dads move in with them. Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi, Brenda Song stars.

ENLISTED. After being in combat for several years, Pete is stationed at a military base in Florida to tackle the toughest job of them all -- leading his dysfunctional brothers' squad. Geoff Stults stars.

RAKE. Follows the chaotic and comedic life of criminal defense lawyer. Brilliant, frustratingly charming, and with zero filter, Keegan is one of life's great addicts. In addition to Keegan's cases within the justice system, the show follows his personal trials and tribulations, including his ongoing battle against the IRS, his mounting debt to his bookie, overlapping affairs and liaisons with women, a hormonal son, an exhausted ex-wife and the evolving relationship between his two married best friends. Greg Kinnear and Miranda Otto star.

ALMOST HUMAN. An action-packed buddy cop show, set in the near future, when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids. Karl Urban and Michael Ealy stars.

SLEEPY HOLLOW. Follows Ichabod Crane as he partners with Sleepy Hollow's local female sheriff to solve the mysteries of a town ravaged by the battle between good and evil. Tom Mison stars.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

So, Brooklyn Nine Nine, just Barney Miller for the 20 teens?

  • mswas

I don't know what's more unbelievable, Sleepy Hollow's early 19th century female sheriff, or the thought that ANY of these will be a success.

  • Shazza

early 19th century-Sleepy Hollow is modern day like NOW. Ichabod was frozen (evidently) and wakes up now. He asks the sheriff about her being free-because she's played by the lovely black Nicole Behairie.

  • mswas

    well that makes more sense

  • BlackRabbit

For some reason these show moves and unveilings remind me of the NFL draft.

  • Wōđanaz Óðinn

    It all reeks of collusion.
    Forever unclean!

  • DataAngel

Did we learn nothing from "Future Cop"? Or "Mann & Machine"? Or Homer's many attempts to pitch his "robot driving instructor and his best friend the talking pie" screenplay?

  • ZombieNurse

Almost Human sounds like that fake show that Joey from Friends was going to do: Mac and C.H.E.E.S.E.

  • Bert_McGurt

Maybe now somebody will finally, actually make Rochelle, Rochelle so we can see exactly what a strange, erotic journey from Milan to Minsk entails.

  • NateMan

Holy. Crap. You're right. They're now mining terrible throw-away jokes from bad sitcoms. Every time I think they can't hit a new low they find a way to surprise me.

  • culturerabble

That soo reminds me of that cornball movie Down to You. Freddy Prinze Jr's dad wanted to start a reality cooking show and FPJ poo pooed the idea as crazy, of course. Ha! TV is slowing wading deeper into the Idiocracy pool.

  • NateMan

I don't see Raising Hope making it through more than this season anyway; it's just too charming and sweet. And I have too many things to record on Tuesday anyway. This will make things easier.

  • zeke_the_pig

Karl Urban has a TV show? Good.
Karl Urban has a buddy-cops-in-the-future TV show? Oh for fuck's sake.

  • NateMan

Hey now, maybe it takes place in the Judge Dredd universe. Dredd gets a quirky new robot sidekick. Preferably with a catchphrase! But it's Monday morning so I can't think of any.
