I don’t what I love more about this trailer for FX’s Coen Brothers’ produced adaptation of Fargo: Martin Freeman’s Minnesota accent, or Kate Walsh’s hair. The whole thing, however, looks incredible. April is a big months for television, with Mad Men and Game of Thrones returning, but don’t overlook Fargo. It looks ridiculously fun.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

Is it just me or is one of the co-stars the woman who described Buscemi as "funny lookin'" in the original movie?

  • John W

    Maybe we'll get a Miller's Crossing show....

  • grr arrgh

Kate Walsh is just being Joan Calamezzo and I'm 100% okay with that.

Many Pajibans will now spend the rest of their day deciding whether they'd like to be Kate Walsh's cigarette or her pendant necklace.

    Just me? Well okay then.

  • I am edging towards the necklace for...reasons.

  • Sofia

I *adore* Kate Walsh and I'm so glad that she's in this.

Orphan Black and Inside Amy Shumer are back in April as well!

  • narfna

Ooh, I didn't know Kate Walsh was in this. She was totally wasted on Private Practice all those years.

As a non-Minnesotan who's lived in Minnesota for 6 years I have to say Martin Freeman sounds just like most of the small town Minnesotans I come into contact with.

On another note, I need to get out of Minnesota.

  • deathandthestrawberry

Not sure about Martin Freeman's accent but this looks good!

  • John G.

Martin Freeman is speaking in an accent somewhere between Cornwall and Minnesota

  • poopnado

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. When non-Minnesotans try the accent it usually ends up kind of British. Hopefully the poor accents don't ruin it for me.

I find it difficult to ignore when I hear an English actor attempting and failing an American accent. I find the R is invariably over accentuated which bugs me to no end. Will in Hannibal is just this side of annoying not to spoil it for me, here's hoping Freeman will be no worst than Mr. Will.

  • Jamie Dello Stritto

Hehe, this made me think of this:

  • Devin McMusters

    Kate Walsh only one episode?

  • Steve

    Looks like a sweet deal.

  • cox

martin freeman sounds here like an american, pretending being an englishman, pretending being an american. and i couldn't love it more.
im quite looking forward to freeman doing the talk show rounds for this - he is always spectacular on his feet.

They had me interested with the ad set in the hardware store.

Well, to be honest, I was always interested, but so far the marketing has been perfection.

  • I busted out laughing at the Billy Bob Thornton one with the steak. And yes, everything else has looked great.
