First Look at Ryan Reynolds in His Green Lantern Pajamas

MTV got the first image of Ryan Reynolds on the set of Green Lantern, and it all but confirms earlier reports that Reynolds’ Green Lantern suit will be completely CGI. Can you imagine, though, trying to act like a tough superhero (well, inasmuch as the Green Lantern is “tough”) wearing that get-up while Peter Saarsgard, meanwhile, will be sporting a fivehead?

Given that outfit, I hope Reynolds stuffs. That’s all I’m saying.

Is anything more emasculating than that adorable fuzzball yapping at his feet?

Where'd you get that dog, Reynolds? Petsmart?!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

(sigh) Oh man. Parallax would love this shit.

Posted by: Sinestro at May 14, 2010 10:28 AM

I'd still hit it.

I knew I wasn't the only one who noticed the little bitty dog at his feet! "Nope, nothing going on here; just a man walking around in polka-dot/checkerboard jammies with a teacup dog at his feet. Move along."

Who wants to play connect the dots?

Yeah, the little dog is adorable. Look at its puff-ball tail!! Ryan... meh.

Can I request right now that Sinestro review this movie when it comes out? Or at least gets to provide a running commentary?

That dog is Rowles in disguise. In the next photo, that dog's nose is buried in Reynolds' crotch.

Tracer,
You have that backwards. The Rowles-dog just finished with him and RR's pearl necklace proves it.

I win.

Posted by: Atrocitus at May 14, 2010 11:14 AM

I agree, Sinestro is fantastic.

PUPPY!!!!

Can I ask what the hell is hanging from his ass?? Let me rephrase that... no, never mind. What the hell is the jester hat looking thing he has slung around his butt cheeks? A catch-all?

Oh, wait, I see. It's the top part of his "suit." Apparently, the thing is too hot, which makes me think (hope) it is a hybrid of lycra and that plasticky stuff you see at bondage clubs. Or, you know, you would see if you went to bondage clubs, which neither Ry Rey nor I do. The poodle, on the other hand, I couldn't vouch for...

To answer the question blaring in your head Dustin: No, none of us know how to turn a man temporarily into Lycra.

I had a dog just like that when I was a kid. It barked all the time, sure, but it also did back flips every 15 seconds or so. Also, it lived on AA batteries, never whined, never tore the house apart, and it never defecated on any my shit. I miss that dog.

That dog at his feet...my dogs would call that an hors d'oeuvre.

Posted by: stardust at May 14, 2010 3:55 PM

You mean a crumb.
It's cute and all, but I prefer the bigger, less yappy dogs. Ankle biters...nah!

If the greatness of the movie is indirectly proportional to the size of the dog, it should be damn good!

That's a motion capture suit. The checkerboards are registry targets. They're normally long sleeved jumpsuits so he obviously has rolled down the top.

I haven't a bad word to say about it I can only appreciate this excellent article. It’s very elementary!
