The Hollywood Cog is reporting that Universal Pictures and del Toro Productions are developing Midnight Delivery, which will be produced by del Toro and Gary Ungar (Gothika). Few details were provided, but the script -- written by Neil Cross -- is about a man who becomes a drug mule to save his son's life. Cross has been a writer for two phenomenal British series, "MI:5" and Idris Elbas' "Luther."

Midnight Delivery is the latest of many projects del Toro is producing, including Drood, an American remake of The Orphanage and, officially at least, The Hobbit. He's also producing Crimson Peak, which he co-wrote with his Mimic collaborator, Matthew Robbins, which is being described as a Gothic-action romance in the vein of The Others.
