Supergirl on CBS just cast Calista Flockheart as Cat Grant, Kara Zor-El’s boss. Grant will be a former journalist who has created her own media empire. She joins Melissa Benoist as Supergirl, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, and Laura Benanti as Kara’s mother. There is no premiere date as of yet.

Rooney Mara always struck me as a wooden, dead-eyed actress in terrible movies. She still strikes me that way, but I found myself enjoying her turn as Lisbeth Salander since the character is dead-eyed and wooden for a lot of the flick. David Fincher’s take on the Millennium Trilogy will, unfortunately, not make it past The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

So sayeth Mara in a short clip you can watch on E!’s website. IF YOU DARE. Or I can just tell you that she says that “I don’t think it’s going to happen. I’m sad never to do it again, but it just doesn’t seem like it’s in the cards.”

Just because, let’s not forget that Mara was cast as Tiger Lily in Pan:

Hot on the heels of the purported best of film is this Alien Tampon trailer from Germany. Alas and alack, this is just a concept clip made into a trailer. I hope that’s just a Kickstarter I smell. NSFW!
