Ender's Game First Full-Length Trailer Fails to Resonate
I'm not ruling out the possibility that Ender's Game could be great, and God knows I want it to be (despite Orson Scott Card's brand of homophobic crazy, I am in awe of his novel). But the trailer, sadly, doesn't really connect. It feels ... sterile, like one of those bland attempts to duplicate a novel that's too on the nose. It has no spark or wit.
Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin, Viola Davis and Ben Kingsley and, at least in the trailer, it's grimness for as far as the eyes can see.
