Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell Movie Poster

Hell is Other People / Dustin Rowles

As we’ve already made clear far too many times for your tastes, we saw Drag Me to Hell at SXSW (I know, I know: blah blah blah Austin shut the fuck up, already). Sam Raimi even came out before the screening and did a weird, Steve Martin in Pink Panther shtick that was kind of bizarre and weirdly off-putting and, well, I’m just glad the movie was good. In fact, it’d old school, blow your eyeballs out, awesome Raimi horror flick. You’d never believe that Alison Lohman and Justin Long could work together in a horror comedy, but my God was it …

… whatever. I’ll shut up about it. Just get a gander at the new movie poster, and let it percolate for a few minutes. And for the hell of it, and if you haven’t already seen it, the trailer for the film is below. Drag Me to Hell comes out in May.

OK, I jumped when that old lady showed up in the bed. I'm such a wuss.

Ah, you must have your little joke, sir.

Now that's hot. I'm so buying a preview ticket right now.

I want it and I want it NOW.

whats with the whole "shocktillyoudrop.com" thing on the right side of the poster ?
should i know about that ?

Sam could make a movie about a panda-raping clown with a wisecracking Dane Cook as his sidekick...and I'd still watch it. Cuz that's how I roll.

Hi, I'm SoD, and I'm Sam Raimi's bitch.

So, is Pajiba becoming a movie poster review site? Do I remember you making fun of that type of site last year, Rowles?

Posted by: ed newman at March 31, 2009 11:05 AM

Yes to all of this. Especially the poster, and also the cute Indian fellow in the trailer. Definitely seeing this one on opening night.

I want my movie now, please. Coming soon is for wusses.

I'm sitting at my desk in broad daylight and I'm a little bit scared...

I had been wondering what happened to Alison Lohman. Let this be a lesson to everyone, be kind to scary old ladies.

I'm simply amazed that Smokin hasn't showed up yet to mock me.

I'm actually not a huge fan of the poster. The movie was the fucking balls though.

I'll do it for him, TK. You know that sound that Chun Li makes in Street Fighter, right after she's been kicked in the sternum? That high-pitched Yiiiii-Ahhhhh! That's the sound that TK made during the one of the film's jump/scare moments. He sounded like a mouse that'd just been stepped on. A gay mouse.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Hahahahahahahahaahahahaahahaahaahaha!

TK screams like a girl! TK screams like a girl!

(And yeah that poster's a bit cheesy...gonna watch the trailer now)

AAAAAAH THAT LOOKS AWESOME!

WANT!

Posted by: figgy at March 31, 2009 2:22 PM

It looks good from the trailer, but the idea of "horror comedy" always turns me off. Horror movies are already funny. When you add too much comedy, it ruins the whole thing. I hope he keeps the comedy subtle..

Fiiiine, no Sartre fans here. Jeez.

Posted by: Jay at March 31, 2009 9:10 PM

I'm a fan, Jay. Inasmuch as that's one of the few things of his that I've read.

Posted by: jM at April 1, 2009 3:54 PM

See? I was quoting Sartre! Not Cicero! I ain't even read any Cicero! Fucking hack!!
