We've known for some time now that David Tennant was leaving "Doctor Who" this year after a final series of long specials. BBC broadcast "The Next Doctor" on Christmas Day 2008, "Planet of the Dead" in April and plans to broadcast "Waters of Mars" in November and then Tennant's swan song as the Doctor in a two parter called "The End of Time" sometime around Christmas of 2009. Over on this side of the Atlantic we got to see both "The Next Doctor" and "Planet of the Dead" on BBC America and DVD, but word was still up in the air over the American release of the three final specials.

Here's what we've got now from the official BBC press release: "Waters of Mars" will hit BBC America on December 19th and be released on DVD (and Blu-ray) on February 2, 2010. "The End of Time" will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray that day, although there is no word when it will broadcast on BBC America. Hello Christmas in February!
