Unfortunately, Stefan Ruzowitzky’s Deadfall has already been slotted into the VOD release (with a subsequent theatrical release), which is almost never a good sign for a movie. However, the trailer at least looks compelling: Deadfall follows a very loving brother and sister (played by Eric Bana and Olivia Wilde) who rob a casino, then shoot a police officer after a car crash. Bana’s character goes on the run, killing people along the way, while Wilde’s character finds a ride with an ex-boxter (Charlie Hunnam) on his way to see his folks over Thanksgiving.

Things go even more awry from there. It looks much better than it probably is.

  • Ahh man! The video is no longer available. I was actually kind of excited to watch this!

  • 'Bana’s character goes on the run, killing people along the way'
If I was a movie exec, this is all I'd need to hear to shout, 'SOLD!'

I might watch this under the assumption that this is the sequel to the alternate ending version of Hannah.

And oh, I'll just mind-Photoshop a grown up Saoirse over Oliviadroid's face.

Umm there is already a movie called Deadfall and it is amazing (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v.... No need to fuck with that. I will not acknowledge this movie.

I've read mostly middle of the road reviews for this, but I love Bana and Wilde, who gets it on with Hunnam, so... yeah, I'm in.

  • ,

Thought I recognized Spacek, and is that Kristofferson at the dining room table or just somebody who looks like him?

And I know there's not a lot of love for Olivia 'round these parts, but damn, the woman has mesmerizing eyes.

I'm kind of in on this one. I like the look and feel of it.
