Dave Mustaine has been one of the more profoundly stupid and delusional characters to fling a mullet unabated in the last 30 years. You didn't think he was going to stop now, did you? You can give the sea 300 licks with a whip, return home triumphantly to your realm with the spoils of the conquered sea, you could joke about single-handedly turning the tides, join Jeff Buckley's merry band of Mississippi Psychrolutes, release the Kraken or make the breathtakingly stupid idea to swim the rapids and whirlpools of the Niagara River, but it's always going to be Davey who sounds as though he has been submerged in the ocean for far too long.

I guess he was really hardup and wanted to get in the headlines again. Well, it seems that he has achieved that, but he had to say something this ignorant and crazy in order to achieve it. Even worse, I'm sure that there are millions of people out there who believe what he's saying, 110 percent.

Since I live in College Station (where we recently had a mass shooting), some asshat at the bar was saying pretty much the same thing at the bar last night. Where the fuck do these people come from?

Unfortunately, these people are born and bred here in America. There are millions of people who think just as he does about Obama. The things that people such as him say about the president are so absurd and ridiculous to anyone who's even remotely smart or aware, but those who aren't truly believe these crazy things and think that they're the wise ones.

Of course he says this in Singapore, because if he said this anywhere in the United States the backlash would make him even more irrelevant.

I am a huge fan of Mustaine and Megadeth...and Nugent too (musically speaking)...but yea, they talk a lot of nonsense...Nugent especially.

This is actually a thing that people are believing, now. I had a guy in my World of Tanks guild spouting the same belief. I looked it up, and now there's this genuine movement of people who think that the James Holmes in court is not the same James Holmes who performed the massacre. This country is sick, and we don't even know it.

Wierd that "World of Tanks" held something other than level-headed, fact-informed discussion.

A musician saying something moronic in public isn't news. The big news is the coverup of Romney's secret plan if he's elected. On Day 1, he'll sign an executive order banning the consumption of alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco. Do you want to know how I know this to be true?

I actually think Dave Mustaine's one of the greatest figures in rock and roll history, but he really is the single greatest non-child molesting douchebag in guitar music history, with the possible exception of Axl Rose.

I never understand why people are disappointed or shock to learn that sometimes really talented people are nuts, annoying, dickheaded, or whatever.

Most athletes can't stand their fans...which seeing how the average fan acts, its completely understandable. Most movie stars are morons....doesn't mean they aren't good at what they do.

Mustaine is a completely out of his league when it comes to anything not directly pertaining to music. This isn't new. He has been kicked out of bands for his behavior, and his hardcore Evangelical turn is well known on the metal scene. That doesn't take away from the fact that the dude has a lot of talent. Nor does his talent mean he can't be mocked.

I truly love him implying he is going to move to Singapore to get away from Obama taking his guns...not realizing that private gun ownership is illegal over there.

I'm actually not getting a lot of shock or disappointment from the comments. Shock at what was said, maybe, but nobody seems shocked as to who actually said it.

I've always hated this guy. An irrational, pointless hate, since all I hated was his poser-ass posing harder than Joe Elliot. Now I have a more legitimate reason to hate the shit-staine.

I've always disliked him because the most notorious creeper/groper at the bars in my college town wore nothing but Megadeth t-shirts. I also felt bad because my dislike was unfounded and irrational (dude can't control his creepy ass fans), but yes, now I can go back to smugly turning up my noise at him. Hooray.
