Crank 2: High Voltage opens in 4 days, folks. If the first Crank is any indication, I expect unholy levels of kick-ass retardation.Crank is the Final Destination of action pics, and I say that in the most complimentary way possible. Will it suck? Of course. But will it tweak your tingly parts and come dangerously close to actually melting your face off? God, I hope so.

And if this short 25-second clip is any indication, there’s a lot to look forward to this Friday. In it, Amy Smart beats the snot out of a fully-mulletted Corey Haim. And if you hadn’t seen this clip ahead of time, it may be reason enough alone to see the film.

This may very well be the stupidest, and therefor best, action movie of the year. Too bad the academy doesn't recognize stupid greatness.

About my Final Destination remark, it was both an effort to piss off Dustin, as well as illustrate my point that it's best when these movies are even worse. Being a sequel is perfect for a movie like Crank 2, it will be even worse, and therefor better, than it's predecessor. Thank god the theater in my small, desolate hometown will be showing this.
