Cool 'Shameless' Casting Detail Reveals Minor Spoilers
If you’re not caught up on Shameless, (*head pat*) run along and play outside with your friends. If you don’t want to know anything about the rest of this season, go join your not caught up yet friends outside to talk about True Detective.
If you are caught up and don’t mind some minor spoilers, then you know that last Sunday’s episode ended with Fiona being dragged off to jail after Liam ingested a buttload of cocaine and nearly died. For those worrying that there will be yet another extended prison arc in one of your favorite dramas (Sons of Anarchy and Justified have already spent too much time in prison), fear not. Fiona will be in jail for a couple of episodes (and Lip will be forced to take over guardianship duties), but when Fiona gets out, she won’t have a job anymore, which will eventually bring her — in the season finale — to a waitress position in a diner owned by a character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Based on episode descriptions, that season finale will also see Fiona go missing and violate her probation. Why? Dunno. Did she hop into bed with her new boss? Did they skip town together? Did her new boss kidnap her? Is Denny Duquette a bad man?
We’ll find out in six weeks. Either way, I hope it also means that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will be around next season, too.
