Christina Hendricks, recently of Mad Men, is leaving Cameron Crowe’s forthcoming Showtimes series, Roadies, amid rewrites in the wake of Aloha’s box-office failures (the two may or may not be linked). According to industry insiders, Crowe is currently in the process of re-writing the pilot and re-conceiving the character ahead of its debut next year. Hendricks reportedly was not ginger enough to play the Asian female lead in the series.

The split is said to be amicable. We have also recently learned from unnamed sources that Cameron Crowe is completely color blind.

Roadies follows the day-to-day life of a successful rock tour as seen through the eyes of the crew members who help get the show on the road. Luke Wilson and Imogen Poots will play African-American crew members, while Keisha Castle-Hughes will play Gwyneth Paltrow.
