Brad Pitt Adds To The Cast Of 'The Big Short', A Financial Crisis Drama

There is nothing in all of movie-dom as exciting as a financial crisis, am I right? Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B purchased the rights to The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine by Michael Lewis. You may recognize Michael Lewis as the man who wrote Moneyball, the book that spawned the movie that made it possible to call Jonah Hill an Academy Award Nominee.

Adam McKay (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues) will write and direct. Pitt will star in the movie, which chronicles the men who helped create the bullshit financial bubble that ruined all of the things in 2008. All of this sounds very yawn-inducing to me.

But wait! What sexy through yonder window breaks? ‘Tis Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling joining the cast! Financial ruin never looked so good! This is going to be so well-acted, our collective panties will blow off!
