Biz Break: Eva Green Is Moving To Sin City And Barbarella Is Moving To Your TV Screen
That's right, kids. The famed femme fatale of Ava Lord has been cast for Sin City 2: A Dame To Kill For, and she will be played by the delicious Eva Green. The news also comes with actual names for the other actors in the film:
That cast includes original cast members Academy Award® nominee Mickey Rourke as "Marv," Jessica Alba as "Nancy," Bruce Willis as Hartigan, Rosario Dawson as "Gail" and Jaime King as "Goldie/Wendy" with new cast members Academy Award® nominee Josh Brolin as "Dwight," Joseph Gordon-Levitt as "Johnny," Dennis Haysbert as "Manute," Christopher Meloni as "Mort," Jeremy Piven as "Bob," Jamie Chung as "Miho," Ray Liotta as "Joey," Juno Temple as "Sally," and Julia Garner as "Marcy."
I have been waiting for this sequel for a very long time and I am looking forward to October 4th. I'll just grab a book and sit on my porch until then.
Barbarella is being adapted for the small screen. Probably. I mean, it's been rumored as a movie remake before and those never happened. This time Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive) is involved and Neal Purvis and Robert Wade (Skyfall) have been brought in to write. Barbarella, if you don't know, is about the title character traveling from planet to planet, sexing up and whatnot. If this trio can actually get interest in their project, I would suggest going for cable, Amazon, or Netflix. Wouldn't you?
Finally, "The Powerpuff Girls" are returning to Cartoon Network. Bubbles, Blossom, and Buttercup will be CG characters in this new version of the show that is a show that used to be on but now it is not on until it will be on which is later this year is when the show that was on will be on again.* A new character played by Ringo Starr, Fibonacci Sequins, will be joining the Girls in the special. Note I said special and not new series. Sad face goes here. Several sites are running this image as the updated look of the Girls.
