Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake Made a Movie Together. This Is What It Looks Like
Runner Runner comes from Brad Fulmer, the guy behind the more entertaining that one could have anticipated, Lincoln Lawyer, with Matthew McConaughey, and this movie looks similarly entertaining in a not particularly substantive, great movie on Netflix kind of way. In other words, it looks like decent pulp for the slow months after the summer and before awards season kicks off, which is to say: It's more than Justin Timberlake deserves, and beneath what we've come to expect from Ben Affleck 2.0. It reminds me a bit of Boiler Room, which itself was unexpectedly entertaining.
