People, people, people. Over the next three minutes and 17 seconds, prepare to have your minds blown out of the back of your skull. You like Sam Rockwell? You love Sam Rockwell? Well, you’ll love him even more after this. inertia creeps, I don’t know who you are, but you should be awarded a fucking medal for sending me this video.

Sit back, folks. Dump your coffee. You don’t need it this morning. The only thing you need is this: Sam Rockwell’s screen test for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

Dance, monkeys. Dance!

Do you have his home address because I need to do that man now. White shoes, rooster hair, helmet head and all. Also, where can I get those pornos?

Not bad

Posted by: D-Day at May 19, 2010 8:16 AM

This is amazing. My favourite bit of Charlie's Angels is when Knox dances. Not that it's difficult to surpass everything else about that film, but dude is hot in that scene too. Actually I need to go watch that.

Posted by: Carrie at May 19, 2010 8:21 AM

Agreed, Carrie. That sequence in Charlie's Angels was so out of nowhere, and all of a sudden I was all, 'Who the fuck is this dude??'

And then he did this. And now he's definitely on my list of favorite people. I hope he busts those moves out at parties. Surely he must.

Posted by: kalexal at May 19, 2010 8:32 AM

My sentiments exactly Carrie. I was also tickled pink as well when he does a bit of dancing in Iron Man 2. You wouldn't expect him to be able to bust moves out, but luckily there's cinematic evidence to prove it. :)

I'm with Cindy!! Give me Sam's adress and Sam and Clooney's porn and it'll be an even nicer wednesday.
And he does dance a lot on films. Never noticed that before. How nice! His ass is also on display in pretty much everything he's done. Bless him!!

LOVE!

Posted by: Chickaboom at May 19, 2010 9:11 AM

The video is cool and Sam Rockwell is OK, but I don't see why YOU PEOPLE are so into him. Or Nathan Fillion, for that matter.

YES, I SAID IT!

Posted by: SofĂa at May 19, 2010 9:31 AM

He basically did a version of this as his entrance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week and it was the best thing that has EVER HAPPENED.

Posted by: Dorothy Snarker at May 19, 2010 9:35 AM

I had to look the Jimmy Fallon thing up. It was fab. Though I then had to look up how tall they both were, cos Rockwell looked dinky.

Posted by: Carrie at May 19, 2010 9:50 AM

Um, not that that makes me love him any less, obv.

Posted by: Carrie at May 19, 2010 9:52 AM

Yummy.....

Posted by: Nimue at May 19, 2010 9:57 AM

Personally, I am so into him because he is HOT and he fits in my POCKET. Plus he makes amazing movies and (in my mind) won the Best Actor Oscar for Moon this year, despite not being nominated.

And, he can probably do the splits across the whole floor!

Posted by: AM at May 19, 2010 10:14 AM

Take that, Christopher Walken. Delightful.

Posted by: Slash at May 19, 2010 10:37 AM

Sam Rockwell is a bit of a small guy, he used to hang out in a bar I would frequent in NYC. 5'7" maybe? seemed nice though... which i'm sure you all love hearing.

Posted by: BonerGhost at May 19, 2010 10:41 AM

Fantastic! You were right, Mister Rowles. inertia creeps is my new favorite too.

Posted by: replica at May 19, 2010 11:06 AM

I read the comments before watching, and I thought, OK, it can't be *that* good. I mean, really. Yeah, Sam Rockwell dancing was the best part of Charlie's Angels, but still... Then I watched...

IT'S THAT GOOD.

Posted by: MM at May 19, 2010 11:49 AM

I remember seeing this last year when I was having a Rockwell moment after watching Moon. Tres awesome.

Posted by: kabzsaba at May 19, 2010 11:50 AM

And people honestly still think Travolta was a dancer ...

I'm convinced, that this man's hips have seen the challenging embarrassment of earning your money by dancing up and down a long polished pole while changing your costumes every half and hour to trick the ethanol enriched minds of countless barbaric hordes of middle-class ladies ...

This man has happy- hour- hipps ...

Somebody get me a cigarette and a witty sexual innuendo stolen from a mediocre episode of mad men

Posted by: HeadButtprincess at May 19, 2010 1:10 PM

Sam Rockwell, welcome to the special place in my heart dedicated to men I love who can dance.

Posted by: Zuzu at May 19, 2010 1:26 PM

OH GOD. I just squeed in my chair like a Twihard. Does anyone have a Kleenex?

Posted by: Ulterior Motive Girl at May 19, 2010 1:33 PM

Carrie, WORD, I remember all the way through Charlie's Angels being like 'this film is meh but Knox is HAWT' and then he did the splits in skin tight pants and I about DIED.

This is why Sam Rockwell is the single most under-appreciated actor working today and its A FUCKING TRAVESTY that he isn't more well known by the general public

Posted by: Nadine at May 19, 2010 3:05 PM

I have high hopes that Rami Malek ("Snafu" from The Pacific) is going to be the next Sam Rockwell-type. Although I can see him getting pigeonholed. Anyway keep your eye on that kid.

You know how some days are just kinda gloomy? It's gray outside and in the morning you can barely wake up to go the gym and when you see your friends you don't have anything of interest to say because life just seems boring?
And then BOOM! Sam Rockwell dances and birdsong abounds, the sun emerges from behind those stratus clouds, and a lady pokes three holes in your ear. The day suddenly isn't such a waste. Maybe you get that stipend you've been hoping for. Maybe you remember that driving is the fourth best thing on Earth.* Maybe you take a really nice shower. Whatever happens, you know that you will forever owe Sam, Dustin, and inertia creeps for turning your life around.

*Things one through three are the hammer, chocolate, and RDJ.

This has now been posted all over my friend's facebook, as proof that my imaginary boyfriend is better than her imaginary boyfriend. Thanks inertia creeps!

Uh...am I crazy, or is that Triumph the Insult Comic Dog in the bottom right corner, starting around the 0:35 mark?

Posted by: JustBill at May 19, 2010 3:58 PM

Forgive me for being droll, but I already have that awesomeness on DVD.

That movie was awesome.

Posted by: ChristianH at May 19, 2010 4:21 PM

Not to brag but...

I'm going to see both Sam Rockwell AND Christopher Walken on Broadway on SUNDAY!!!!

Posted by: mswas at May 19, 2010 4:41 PM

I'm getting laid for this, but a medal's nice too.

Great article. Bless you very much. Of course, often it kind of feels we are constantly keying in into the cyber-breezes…. then, another person will probably leave a review that basically connects yourself to the outside you now know you have been in a community.
