Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

Scarlett Johansson stars in: "Late '60s Sci-Fi Paperback Cover: The Movie"!

  • JK

The only thing that interests me about The Railway Man is Hiroyuki Sanada...and they left his name off the poster. Hm.

  • Laura

Based only on the posters, none of them :(

  • AvaLehra

Did they just recycle images from A Single Man for that Colin Firth poster?

  • I see that "Under the Skin" poster and all I can think about is the video for Shatner's "Bohemian Rhapsody" from a few years back.

  • AvaLehra

    Ooof! None of them.
    I'm cranky today.

  • Maydays

I think the Transcendence poster would catch my eye in a walking-past-the-bus-shelter kind of way. And Adult World says "John Cusack", despite the rest of it's ridiculousness. Really, they are all pretty awful. And what did they do to Firth's eyes??

  • llp

These posters are all terrible, but I will say, with a smidgen of shame, that Jeremy Irvine makes me feel all cougary and then there is Colin Firth so lions.

  • thebluestepside

    Under the Skin

  • Afferbeck

I will watch anything with Tyler Labine in it. If I don't make it out of that undoubtedly terrible movie alive, let it be known that I regret nothing.

  • e jerry powell

    "Based on a true story."

  • e jerry powell

So, I wonder who's killing who this time around for Emma and Evan...

  • RochellCattaneo

The Poster are so very superb and Mind Blowing to be watch .

  • Fabius_Maximus

So they're adapting Dean Koontz novels now? The poster is somewhat interesting, though.

The Railway Man also looks like it might be worthwhile.

  • Joseph Finn

Under the Skin, but then I read the great novel so I already know what I'm looking forward to.

  • emmelemm

Why did they misspell Evan Peters' name on the Adult World poster?

  • ellie

oh my god EVEN PETERS, that's some shoddy work right there

  • BlackRabbit

or an attempt at a subtle joke.

  • Ruthie O

The worst part about the Maladies poster is that it has Alan Cumming's name in small print on the bottom. If they were smart, they'd put a giant picture of Alan Cumming in a kilt on the cover, no matter the plot, with STARRING MOTHER F'ING ALAN CUMMING in all caps. Because he's the most fabulous fabulocity in the whole wide world.

  • Whistler

It also has David Strathairn in the tiny font. A proper treatment of the Maladies poster would be "CATHERINE KEENER, ALAN CUMMING, DAVID STRATHAIRN, (that other girl's name), and also I think James Franco works in this."

  • BWeaves

You had me at "Cumming in a kilt."

  • John W

What's the best way to get people to see my movie..okay ideas, go!

I know, have the star pose on the movie poster with his pants around his ankles!

    You think that'll work?

Hey it worked for Bucky Larson.

    Excellent idea, run with it!

  • Robert Matthews

    Tyler Labine, though. ADORABLE.

But not one of these posters says "Watch me."

  • I'm most intrigued by Under the Skin. I'm most repulsed by Emma Roberts looking like she's going to choke out everyone who dares to see that film in theaters.

  • Joseph Finn

UTS was a damn fine novel so I'm really looking forward to that.

  • 'Odd Thomas' looks like it might be a decent movie. The poster for 'Transcendence' makes it look like the Johnny Depp-est movie ever.

  • Wigamer

I saw a preview for this dreck. It looks sincerely terrible, but not in a silly Johnny Depp way. Just in a shitty movie way.

  • Miss Jane

My first thought on "Transcendence" was "what is the matrix?"

  • bleujayone

It looks like Nicole Kidman just cranked the dial on her face level all the way to "Zooey Deschanel".

  • kinoumenthe

I had trouble actually recognising her. But she's probably wearing a huge splash of Photoshop by Adobe.

  • Jezzer

Judging from the Maladies poster, the primary malady of the film is smugface.

  • mswas

I think they left some text off "Ma ladies in the hizzous"

  • Snath

The poster for Maladies makes it look like Tiptoes 2.

  • Ben

I too enjoyed Odd Thomas. I loved the book and the movie didn't disappoint.

  • Repo

Odd Thomas was really, really good. I love Anton Yelchin. That's all.

  • e jerry powell

He is an adorable young thing, isn't he?

  • Joe Grunenwald

I actually do like the phrase 'fabulous fabulocity', so thank you for that, spambot Laura.

  • Agreed on both counts.
