A lot of fairly benign images from upcoming movies have sprung up on the net over the past week, but a lot of a little equals something, so here’s what we’ve got.

First of all, like anyone, I’ve always liked Liam Neeson. But Taken has made him something I never thought he’d be: A populist movie star. First off, here’s a grainy image of him (as Hanibal), along with the rest of the A-Team cast, including Bradley Cooper (as Face-man), District 9’s Sharlto Copley (as Murdock), and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson (as B.A. Baracus) in Joe Carnahan’s movie.

And from EW, here’s a shot of Neeson as Zeus in the upcoming Clash of the Titans remake from Louis Leterrier, which also stars Ralph Fiennes, Sam Worthington, and Gemma Arterton. Check out EW for more behind-the-scenes photos.

Here are a couple more Clash of the Titans shots from Empire magazine.

It’s been a while since we’ve seen anything from Iron Man 2, and Jon Favreau doesn’t want us going more than a week without thinking about it. Here’s a shot of RDJ’s Iron Man in a donut shop. Cause even Iron Man needs coffee.

Splash News brings us this photo of Seth Rogen and Jay Chou in Green Hornet. It looks a little too much like I was expecting it to look, and that’s not necessarily a good thing.

This one is from the Red Dawn remake (via RedDawn2010)

And, finally, via USA Today, here’s a promo shot for Shawn Levy’s Date Night, starring Tina Fey and Steve Carrell (in addition to Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Mark Ruffalo, and several other notable actors).

I do not know if i can take Clash of the Titans seriously with Liam in that stupid gittup.
He looks like an extra from the movie Excalibur.

He's playing Zeus, isn't he? As a god, I think he can pretty much wear whatever kind of armor he wants regardless of the era. He's just not any god, he's the King of the Gods.

I'm not at all worried about The A-Team movie, even if it's horrible (and it will be) it couldn't possibly suck more than its predecessor. G.I. Joe all over again.

"Extra"?! He was motherfucking Gawain! "I hate to say it, but, uh, your wife's totally screwing Lancelot".

"Extra"?! He was motherfucking Gawain! "I hate to say it, but, uh, your wife's totally screwing Lancelot".

Which is pretty ironic given that he ended up screwing Helen Mirren in real life during the shooting of Excalibur.

So when are you guys going to mention the Let The Right One In remake casting news?

Posted by: MM at October 5, 2009 11:16 AM

PaddyDog.....I have to go back and watch that. I forgot he was in that. It has been a long time.
Capt Picard was in it too if memory serves...

Posted by: badalamenti at October 5, 2009 11:21 AM

Well look at her, Paddy. Granted, I fear and loathe her character, but maybe she's actually a nice gal!

Funny, that's exactly how Tina Fey looks, post-coital, in all my fantasies. Really glad to see my imagination is on point.

I'll be in my bunk.

Oh please let Clash be good. Please please please. I've been waiting forever for a decent Greek mythology movie. Please please please don't let it suck. Please don't let it turn into another Troy.

I really dig the original Clash. I'm with figgy; I hope the remake's good.

Off-topic: has anyone heard any news on The Wolfman? I've seen the trailer (with no release date) before 3 seperate movies, and dammit all if I can find any info. It's already been delayed a couple of times, right? Or am I making that up?

Yeah, sure. The ancient greeks had no concept of plate mail, and then suddenly one of their mythological concepts based on their fantasy pops up and wears it. Totally logical.

Posted by: FabMax at October 5, 2009 6:35 PM

Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson in the same movie? How the hell am I supposed to know whats going on now?

Posted by: Alex at October 5, 2009 7:09 PM

Mr. T had better have at least a cameo in the new A-Team movie. Even if it sucked, that would make it all worthwhile.

Posted by: Kurdt at October 5, 2009 7:33 PM

I'm kinda-sort-almost really excited for Green Hornet. I have no idea whether or not it's going to be good - it could be terrible - but everyone involved seems to be trying something new. It's good to see people like Rogen and Gondry playing outside of their comfort zone when so many movies these days feel tired and formulaic.

Even if it's crap, it'll be interesting crap.

I thought you said Clash of The Titans remake. . . All I see is a movie that looks like a cross between God of War and Excalibur.

And, of course they're going to fuck it up. Sure, it has some good actors in it, but so did Troy, and that was still a shit fest. Hollywood can't do mythos right, because they think that you say the word myth and it's automatically boring, so you need something modern to spice it up.

Totally ignoring all the blood, gore, rape, incest, slaughter, zombies, etc that most myth cycles have.
