Are We Having Fun Yet? Adam Scott Screws with His Twitter Followers

By Dustin Rowles | Trade News | October 23, 2013 | Comments ()

Parks and Recreation’s Adam Scott took to Twitter this week to reassure panicking fans that the news earlier this week suggesting that Parks and Recreation had been put on hiatus was misleading. Yes, Parks is being pushed for the next three weeks, and yes, the Halloween episode will air after Halloween, but the same number of episodes will air before the New Year as was originally planned. They’ve just been shifted into December, where Parks had previously planned to air reruns.

It’s unfortunate that we won’t have any new Parks episodes for a few weeks, but at least we’ll have them in December when many other shows begin to cycle in reruns.

Meanwhile, I don’t know when this is from, but this string of tweets from Adam Scott was is fantastic!

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • Oh, god, he's adorable.

  • e jerry powell

And you'd think I'd be over it by now, but every single time somebody mentions Adam Scott, I can't help but think about Hostile Hand Jobs.

  • e jerry powell

Turkey club is way better anyway.

  • Bob Genghis Khan

    Oh, Griff.

  • Three_nineteen

"I don't know when this is from"

The dates on the tweets say 7/4/13, so I'm going to guess the tweets are from 7/4/13.

  • NateMan

He often seems a bit too smarmy for my taste, but this is pretty funny and a smile I needed right now. Gracias.

  • I think he does come off as smarmy at first, but then he says a sentence or two and you realize that he's really a huge dork, and it's just ridiculous and adorable.

  • dizzylucy

I could see that based on some of his other roles, and his sense of humor, but P&R has erased any unintentional smarminess, I think.

  • Michelle

Really? What about him gives off the smarmy vibe? I don't see too much of him in non-Parks and Rec things.

  • NateMan

I freely admit it's just mostly a highly biased, appearance-based opinion on my part. Some people look at Seth MacFarlane, for example, and see that sort of smug superiority when he's just walking along. I see it when I look at or hear Adam Scott. Totally subjective, and I'm sure he's a fine person. He just rubs me the wrong way sometimes.

  • Michelle

Ha, I actually feel that way about Seth MacFarlane. So I totally get it!

  • Wigamer

I have it for Kristen Wiig in massive, unreasonable amounts.

  • Aaron Schulz

i get that, she looks like a garbage stretched over a sun bleached deer skeleton and then bleats loudly and people laugh and she just stands there acting like shes the greatest shit in the world, god i hate her

so that turned into more of a rage rant then i wanted, im ok with it for now

  • Mrs. Julien

A rage AND disparagement rant. Don't sell yourself short.

  • bbmcrae

Wish you could write your rants like an adult...

  • Wigamer

OK, it's not just me then. Whew.

  • NateMan

Nope, definitely not just you. He's one of those people... Well, RDJ is way more smarmy, but he has the charm to pull it off. Adam Scott, to me, feels like that guy who sits in the back of every meeting and just smirks his way through it without offering anything positive.

  • stella

    Awww....this made me smile.

  • JenVegas

This reminds me of the opening credits to Monty Python & The Holy Grail.

  • Kate at June

I like this. Oh, when celebs enjoy just being adorable dorks.

  • Parsnip

Fell in love with him (and the rest of the gang) when I came across Party Down.
