“Red Mars” / Seth Freilich

AMC is on a roll, you know? “Mad Men” is fantastic, “Breaking Bad” is pretty great and all signs are pointing to next year’s mini-series remake of “The Prisoner” being solid. So, at first, I was very excited to hear that they’re developing “Red Mars,” based on the book by Kim Stanley Robinson. While I haven’t read “Mars” because it’s buried well deep within my “to read” pile, I know it’s a very well regarded story about man’s first colony on Mars. And with AMC’s successes so far, I’m actually willing to get a little excited despite the high failure rate of sci-fi shows.
But, then there’s this - the show is being written and exec-produced by Jonathan Hensleigh. He wrote 2004’s The Punisher. And he wrote The Saint. And he wrote *shiver* Armageddon.
So yeah, my expectations are now rather tempered.

Mmmmmmmmmm, I can honestly say I'm looking forward to this.
Red, Green, and Blue Mars are EPIC.
Glenn Close for Anne Clayborne, FTW!
