Who farted?

Posted by: Groundloop at March 30, 2011 12:18 PM

It just looks so....cheap. Really cheap. And not in the good way. More the "drunken coed puking in a toilet on Halloween" way.

Side note- How come the Pajiba FB page has pretty much died out? The group page has almost no activity as of late. Was thinking about the possibility of doing a Pajiba meetup during the Boston Independant Film Festival.

Posted by: rornyh at March 30, 2011 12:19 PM

Stars down the sides of itchy-looking pants and super squinch-face. Better but still not very good. Also, her boobs seem to understand that they must not escape from the Red Rubber Corset of Justice.

Posted by: Pinky McLadybits at March 30, 2011 12:20 PM

I think a halter top would be more flattering. And is it just me, or does her belt look like someone's grabbing her from behind?

Posted by: Captain Tuttle at March 30, 2011 12:23 PM

Well, it looks better than the previous image. At least the pants don't still look like she's about to bust a seam, but maybe these are just her "stunt pants" and the vinyl pair are back in the trailer sipping on a mai tai?

Her corset, clearly, has the only real super power, though. It's performing quite the Herculean task, at the mo'.

Posted by: RobP at March 30, 2011 12:25 PM

It's still cameltoetastic, but the pants are less SHINY. That's a good thing, I guess.

Posted by: Craig at March 30, 2011 12:25 PM

What a waste of an amazing opportunity to reinvent her costume. Strapless is NOT SUITED TO CRIME FIGHTING. Take it from me. That's a mistake you don't make twice. And why rubber? Why not something more classy and bad ass. I agree she looks like she bought it at Party City for $39.95.

Posted by: E-Money at March 30, 2011 12:26 PM

That top badly needs straps. And WHAT is with the shininess of it? It just looks like it would squeak in an infuriating manner.

The crotch in the pants is all kinds of whackadoo, but the fabric is a vast improvement.

Feh. I love you, Tyra, but...this is not gonna work out.

Posted by: figgy at March 30, 2011 12:26 PM

I don't know what you did wrong, buddy, but you'd better brace yourself cuz I think Wonder Woman is about to shit in your car.

Posted by: Kballs at March 30, 2011 12:26 PM

E-Money, are you a crime-fighting superhero? You must tell.

Posted by: figgy at March 30, 2011 12:28 PM

Running through her head:

"Look tough, look tough, look tough. Remember the paycheck, remember the paycheck, remember the paycheck."

God, this thing is squishing my boobs! Why would anyone wear this to run?

Look tough, look tough, remember the paycheck.

I hope I look sexy because the ankle pain is going to be huge! I better get a foot massage after this!

Tough. Paycheck. Tough. Paycheck.

Who the hell is going to watch this? I'm sure as hell not!

Tough! Paycheck!

Why did Lone Star have to get cancelled!

Posted by: Fredo at March 30, 2011 12:30 PM

Polter-wang!

Posted by: good ol' smokey at March 30, 2011 12:43 PM

Oh well. I hope the invisible jet looks better.

Posted by: Lucas at March 30, 2011 12:43 PM

I can't help but be reminded of Captain Liberty's outfit on The Tick.

Now I can't help but think about Liz Vassey.

I'll be in my bunk.

Posted by: ponch at March 30, 2011 12:51 PM

Pants look like Scuba Suit.

Posted by: Odnon. at March 30, 2011 12:55 PM

She looks like she's going about 4 miles per hour.

Posted by: sars at March 30, 2011 1:02 PM

who on earth gave the final ok! to this flaming pile? it boggles my mind that people are paid decent wages to create and work on set for this fucking disaster.

sonofabitch.

Posted by: beet salad at March 30, 2011 1:03 PM

I'm not sure if it was visible in the other picture, but it looks like her boots aren't high-heeled. So that's something, at least.

Posted by: Todd at March 30, 2011 1:03 PM

Bad. Bad, bad, bad.

Badbadbadbadbadbad. Too bad for words. Who the hell approved this travesty of a suit? The pants look awful and the top's pure shit.

And this is coming from a guy who likes loud aloha shirts with camouflage trousers.

Posted by: The Wanderer at March 30, 2011 1:12 PM

Two Words: Bedazzled Pajamajeans.

Posted by: ZombieNurse at March 30, 2011 1:16 PM

Don't y'all make fun of Wonder Woman. According to that belt buckle she's the Amazonian Rodeo Champeen!!!

Posted by: Mrcreosote at March 30, 2011 1:18 PM

She looks like she's escaping from her life in captivity as a performer in Branson, MO.

Posted by: StoatCat at March 30, 2011 1:19 PM

She looks like a Texas cheerleader gone awry. Wonder Woman should be awesome and kick-ass. This is just a disappointment. And those boots! Tacky.

Posted by: cydeleida at March 30, 2011 1:20 PM

Those boots dont have high enough heels.

Posted by: logan at March 30, 2011 1:22 PM

Is that a Mazda?

PRODUCT PLACEMENT, PAJIBA?!

Posted by: zeke the pig at March 30, 2011 1:33 PM

Her boobs make me feel uncomfortable. Sympathetically, because that top looks restrictive. But it also makes my penis literally uncomfortable.

Those pants, though... Very ill-fitting around the groin.

Lord knows I've heard that one before.

Posted by: logar at March 30, 2011 1:35 PM

This was pointed out on another website: in the 1970's, there were only 3 channels, so a "hit show" might still have been only the 3rd best thing on, and only was watched at all because there were only three choices. That does not make a show good, or something that would need to be brought back 30 years later. Also, this looks like something that won't ever get past episode 2, like The Cape.

Anyways, they are really making this, and yet we still can't get Firefly back on the air. Oh the humanity. Studio executives are seriously dumber than shit.

Posted by: EJ at March 30, 2011 1:42 PM

The belt looks like her vag is wearing a crown. All hail Princess Cameltoe.

Posted by: Mez at March 30, 2011 1:47 PM

Although, imagining she is doing the Moonwalk in this picture makes it a whole lot more palatable. Try it.

Posted by: Odnon. at March 30, 2011 1:51 PM

My parents tell me that when I was a little boy (since it ended in '79 I couldn't have been older than 3 unless it was syndication) I was watching Wonderwoman with my dad and I turned to him and said "Dad, I think I love Wonderwoman."

To which he replied, "Me too, son."

I don't think I would have said the same about this one.

Posted by: Paultera at March 30, 2011 1:52 PM

Naaaah, only slightly less catastrophic. Nothing to see here, guys, move on, move on.

Posted by: godzilla_foil at March 30, 2011 1:59 PM

1. a person's face often looks bad in an action shot, so i'll give that a pass.

2. thank god the heels are low. how can you run in high heels?

3. she's not really running tho. her feet are too close together. she looks like she's hopping.

4. glad the shiny is gone on the pants, but that corset is still tragic.

5. i don't see camel toe. unfortunate pulling around the crotchal region, but no camel toe.

Posted by: carolyn at March 30, 2011 2:11 PM

Damn, that costume assaults my eyes every time I see it.

That show will have to come with surgeon general's warnings at the start.

Posted by: MurderBot at March 30, 2011 2:15 PM

I don't think you're supposed to be mixing gold and silver like that. Where the hell is Michael Kors? We need some expert opinion.

Posted by: sars at March 30, 2011 2:36 PM

Bunches more photos here:

Wonder Woman in action

(Overall site slightly NSFW, although Wonder Woman post probably SFW.)

They must have used some supernatural double-stick tape to keep that bustier on, Imustsay.

Posted by: MM at March 30, 2011 2:40 PM

Wow, Odnon.. That is uncanny/incredible/several other adjectives applied to the X-men.

She should do a TV version of "This is It". Most poeple thought MJ was a white woman by the end anyway, so it wouldn't be too far a stretch for casting purposes.

Posted by: Socrates_Johnson at March 30, 2011 2:49 PM

Kballs - I just had to leave my cubicle and laugh in the hallway.

Posted by: Tits McGee at March 30, 2011 3:31 PM

@Odnon, that's definitely what I looked like at 10, trying to do the Moonwalk.

Red corset, and everything.

Posted by: RobP at March 30, 2011 4:08 PM

Kballs,

I agree. I laughed when I saw it, and I've been laughing every time I think of your comment since.

Posted by: Gentleman Farmer at March 30, 2011 4:09 PM

Oh, man. One of the pictures that MM linked to has what I believe to be a stunt double in the costume with her boob popped out of the Red Rubber Corset of Justice. Luckily for my virgin eyes she was wearing a nipple flower. Otherwise my monocle would have fallen into my champagne.

Posted by: Pinky McLadybits at March 30, 2011 5:16 PM

Ah HAHAHA! Oh, Pinky, you're so right. I did remark that some of the pictures were of the stunt double, which I always find amusing. However, I did not, on first glance, notice the "nipple flower".

Monocle in champagne glass, indeed!

Posted by: MM at March 30, 2011 5:23 PM

I love you Pinky.

Posted by: Odnon at March 30, 2011 5:25 PM

sars: *covers self in orange tanner, higher pitched voice* OHMYGAWD she looks like a cocktail waitress dipped in plastic and hung out to dry on a line covered in tacky glitter, it's so TRAGIC! Like a sad 50s housewife on a themed cruise where they had to make their costumes out of popped balloons! What were you THINKING?

Posted by: figgy at March 30, 2011 5:53 PM

http://www.dlisted.com/files/imagecache/photo-preview/files/galleries/wonder_woman_045_wenn5630050.jpg

Okay, this shot confirms my suspicions that not only is the bodice tacky and horribly made, it doesn't even fit her damn boobs properly, which is an affront to me as a woman, a fan of bodices, and someone who works for a heavily-costumed event.

Look, Wondy McBeal, my wedding dress had a red and gold strapless corset, you can totally borrow it. Dupioni silk will always beat leftover Halloween sale vinyl.

Dear Nat Kittyface,

What is your, and your spouse's, stance on polygamy? Just askin'.

For your hand in marriage,
RobP

Posted by: RobP at March 30, 2011 8:16 PM

Ditto on Kballs' comment

Posted by: wojtek at March 30, 2011 9:28 PM

Okay the toned down blue color is the only plus I can think of. I mean...now it's half-shiny and half not? And this is BETTER?? At least the shiny pants were sexy and looked superhero-y! (yes it's a word) Why not give her black shiny tights or dark blue?

These look like jogging pants she got at Walmart. Ugh. So now there isn't even much to look at anymore. Won't be watching this...

And to the people who suggest this needs a tank top: so you really want to complete the Walmart look then??

Posted by: Arco at March 30, 2011 11:12 PM

This costume is awful, but I have come back to this post about 15 times today to laugh at it.

If you look at these photos (http://laineygossip.com/Adrianne_Palicki_shoots_Wonder_Woman_in_LA_with_costume_adjustments_30mar11.aspx?CatID=0&CelID=0), the ones where you can't see the costume, she looks gorgeous and warm and very much like Wonder Woman. I'm flabbergasted that they couldn't have made a costume that capitalized on that.

Posted by: Tits McGee at March 30, 2011 11:42 PM

Aw, shucks, Odnon.

Posted by: Pinky McLadybits at March 31, 2011 10:45 AM

The cooch area looks weird. All long and baggy.
