This. All of this. I want it on my television set. Today. Right now. Holy pants. River Song. Amy Pond. The Old West. The Stetson. Exploding Planets. DEAD DALEKS.

Take it from here, PR copy!

"We'll get through this, I promise. Don't be scared." Boasts Amy, "Scared?! Who's scared? ... Geronimo!!"

The new season will see the last days of the Ponds, with Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill making their final rollercoaster voyage with The Doctor (Matt Smith). Amy (Karen Gillan) and Rory (Arthur Darvill) have been at the Doctor's side for more than two seasons but what will he do after their heartbreaking departure?

New guest stars so far confirmed to star will include David Bradley, Rupert Graves and Mark Williams. Season 7 will then see a dramatic turn of events when The Doctor meets a new friend -- the recently-announced new companion, played by Jenna-Louse Coleman. Prepare yourselves for thrills, adventures and dramatic surprises as the show builds towards its enormous, climactic 50th anniversary year.

Fourteen big, blockbuster-movie episodes -- each a brand new epic adventure featuring new monsters and some familiar foes as you've never seen them before.

    I literally just squealed. SQUEALED!

  • jmd

Awesome! I cannot wait - this needs to be on my TV RIGHT NOW!

Amy Pond is an entitled, unrelatable, selfish asshole of a plot device who's sole existence is to be a uterus in a box(literally) and short skirt for the salivating fanboyz. Oh, and to show men that hot women should love them even if they're a needy drip of a human being --just as long as you've got someone to keep her in line and treat her like an insolent child. She sets all the progress of Who women (thank you Donna for the heavy-lifting) back about ten years. She needs to make like a Silent and leave so we can forget about her already.

  • googergieger

Outside of Martha most of the companions on Who existed to argue things they shouldn't argue about. Donna especially. Just yelled about Who not knowing what the best course of action was because she did for no apparent reason. Don't get me started on "Doctor Donna".

  • RoloTomassi

I wasn't talking about Amy arguing, I'm talking about her being bereft of warmth and vulnerability. And also an inconsiderate dick. Donna was the most real and entertaining companion in my mind. Wonderfully flawed but compassionate. And for Gallifrey's sake his name is not "Who."

  • googergieger

Oh right cause you totally didn't know who I was talking about? On top of which "real" is selfish. That is what humans are. Donna arguing with The Doctor(just to clear things up with you) over saving a civilization they have no business in saving just because, "hey it is the right thing to do even though it could cost the lives of more and you know, The Doctor knows better". That isn't real. Problem with "fans" in general really. Donna was the most comical fan service companion. Again every companion is more or less interchangeable save Martha. Who was the most boring and lease liked because of it(didn't argue much and went along for the ride rather happily). However probably the least annoying. All companions keep arguing with The Doctor(seriously Who is a lot easier you nit picking wanker) even though we know they shouldn't and much more, they know they shouldn't. Hell it tends to detract from the show more often than not when The Doctor caves in. The reason I warmed up to Smith rather quickly was because his Doctor seemed the most arrogant and least likely to put up with B.S. "I am The Doctor and I own the universe. Who the fuck do you think you are to think you know better?". Every time we've seen glimpses of that it disappears rather quickly. Tenant's Doctor was a bit worse because it always had a happy ending more or less. Think why I enjoyed that Mars movie so much.

Anywhoots has been said before and will be said again. We are all more or less born equal. Clean slates and such. Our experiences, memories, and other randoms thrown in that change us to be totally or slightly different from the person next to us. However there is always that part that should make it easy to empathize with whoever it is we try to empathize with. When we only try to relate to characters or people who are just like us or close to it, not much point in even trying really.

And once again, don't get me started on Doctor Donna.

  • Clancys_Daddy

I can't stand the donna episodes, and you are right about the companions.

  • BobbFrapples

    This has made my morning.

  • BWeaves

First off, I read that "exploding pants."

  • Oh my gosh. I can't even. Damn it, I need to catch up!

  • Captain_Tuttle

Oh my. So very ready for this. Plus - Rupert Graves! I have adored him since "Room With a View."

  • Jenne Frisby

Yes, Rupert Graves has been in my freebie ten for a long, long time. But tell me, have you ever seen Maurice?

  • Captain_Tuttle

    Oh yes.

  • JoannaRobinson

  • Anne Lucchesi

Oh holy crap I never realized Lestrade was Freddy! That is so rad!

  • Not my division!

  • All the Es.

  • Renton

The Old West scene reminds me of that Red Dwarf episode where the gang try to fight of Kryten's viruses in a shootout

  • cinekat

I can't even watch this at work but I'm already drooling from every orifice (what? too much?)

  • Green Lantern

    Yes, but it's okay.
