6 Days Remain Until "Community" Leaves Us: The Countdown Continues with Twas the Night Before ... Damn, Look at that Sweater

Last night, we received the penultimate episode of “Community” before Troy and Abed bid us adieu, Alison Brie absconds with her GIFs, and Gillian Anderson-Jacobs takes her sweater to television darkness. It was a great episode, though, and you should check out Sarah’s lovely recap here, of if you’re into it, I have a GIFtastic-recap over on WarmingGlow, and let me warn you: Combining GIFs and anime is the surest way to elicit a seizure. (It’s totally worth it).

So, now we have only one episode to look forward to. Fortunately, it’s the Christmas episode, with which Dan Harmon does a phenomenal job. He will bring the sweetness, and it will ache all the more knowing it may be the last we see of “Community” for a while. Or ever.

What do we know about “Regional Holiday Music”? There will be Christmas songs, in what appears to be a Christmas pageant. What genre will be riffed? We’ll find out in six days. In the meantime, here are some still images from the episode, and holy shit: Is Dean Pelton wearing a Clark Griwswold Christmas sweater?

Gillian Anderson is totally underused in Community.

Glee?

That's Gillian Anderson-Jacobs to you, and her chest thingies are AHHH-MAY-ZINGGGGGGGGG.

Cheryl Tunt changed her name to Barry? I thought he was a cyborg now?

The fact that Dan Harmon has held off on doing a Christmas Vacation homage for (at least) two seasons now shows some remarkable restraint.

Typos aside, I would watch the SHIT out of a Gillian Anderson cameo on Community. If they ever get around to an "Epidemiology Redux", an X-Files spoof would be incredible. Terrible 90's suits and everything.

@Greg: Do you deprive me of my outrage over mere technicalities. Pitchforks do not answer to "hiatus." Alba gu bra!

Hiatus dees nuts.

Dan Harmon tweeted that "Community" had a boost in the ratings last night. I'm pretty sure that's all Pajiba's doing, right?

Is the guy in the last picture the same one that's in "Book of Mormon"? Because it definitely looks like him. Musical episode?

It look like she's smuggling Rudolph the Two-Nosed Reindeer in there.

Tyler, I'm pretty sure that's Taran Killam from SNL. AKA the dude who's married to (and knocked up) Robin from How I Met Your Mother.

I actually relocated to Southern Florida 5 year or soes ago (2007). I stayed down here for about 9 months at that time and continued to ramble around the nation. Within a year of leaving I decided to come back for good, it was the fishing that called me back. Right now there is nothing like it, if you have never fished South Florida before long you are missing out-- that simple.
