My comment is about the Breaking Bad part of the podcast and contains spoilers if you have not already seen the most recent episode.

Good podcast but I disagree with some comments in it that paint Skyler's motivation as putting her baby first.

If her priority was her baby, then she has a much greater chance of keeping custody if she contacted a lawyer immediately and cut a deal for immunity.

As it is, she seems to be operating under some assumption that if Walt dies before they can pin it on him then she's in the clear? But no, long after Walt is dead and gone, they could and probably would bring her up on charges and she'd lose custody.

So she came off as a really shitty parent this episode. Skyler was right to be cautious in the Hank meeting but by the end she put the meth earnings above the course that would most likely let her keep Holly.

[For what it's worth, I'm not a Skyler hater. She's not adorable Marie but she's okay.]

As to the hole-digging scene, it was ludicrous that a man Walt's age and fitness level (even without the cancer) could dig a hole like that in one evening, or one half that size.

But there was so much good about the episode and my favorite tv directer was helming it, so I can forgive a lot. It was still better than any episode in season 5A or whatever we're calling it these days.

You'll be happy to hear that Game of Thrones passed True Blood in the ratings this year. Although True Blood's ratings are still very high for a premium cable show, they dipped a bit this season.

Not British I emphasize, but I am offering the obligatory (albeit minor) correction on the 99. A 99 is a soft whipped ice-cream in a cone (it must have a minimum of three twists as it's being poured into the cone) with a flake inserted in it. Not any old chocolate bar: a flake. And if you've never tasted one, you are sorely missing out on one of the great joys of life.

I love the Station Agents, but bring on The Ones Who Knock! Also Josh, I noticed the Tulaberry thing too, glad to know I wasn't alone in that.

    Breaking Bad spoilers!!!!

personally, I loved the punch-because Hank kicked the crap out of Jesse for something that was Walt's Idea. So, I was super happy to see the right person get punched.

I don't mind mopey Jesse because if he was acting any other way it would almost be out of character. But I have no idea what they are going to do with him. I'm expecting Hank will be coming to see him eventually and that will hopefully give him more to do. But, sadly, I can't see a happy ending for him.
