I definitely think that The Americans benefits from marathon watching. I tried watching it week-to-week when it started and I could feel myself losing interest, so I've tended to let three or four episodes build up on the TiVo and then
watch them all at once. I think it's much more effective that way.

I think the reason The Good Wife doesn't have a huge following is because defies neat categorization, unlike CBS's other offerings. TGW is a political drama, family drama, romantic drama, legal drama, and sexy eyes drama. It's nearly impossible to capture the complexities and various angles of the show in one sentence, which is both why it is awesome and why it is so hard to promote.

No need for a spoiler alert on The Good wife bit - y'all basically just talked about Hannibal and whether TGW is the best drama on network television. Waste. of. time.

  • Without pointing it out specifically, I will say that Joanna's word choice in both the Game of Thrones segment of this podcast and the Cast of Kings regarding a certain plotline have been delightful for a book reader like myself.

I'm guessing the hot chick with the dragons set some shit on fire? I don't watch the show.

Having dragons would be awesome, though. Riding shotgun on your way to and from work. Someone cuts you off? Boom. Charcoal.
