"Muppets"

You got anything harder?

You got anything harder?

That's what she said.

Posted by: Rykker at November 18, 2010 10:25 AM

The Muppets (I mean come on.)
The Raven (Cusack as Poe? Really? Awse.)
Now (mmmmm JT.)
Drive (mmmmm Gosling.)

The end.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at November 18, 2010 10:27 AM

And she meant it!

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at November 18, 2010 10:27 AM

You've stopped trying.

Posted by: Jay at November 18, 2010 10:28 AM

Muppets.. . .until. ..ZOMGROFLMAO DRIVE!!!!! The Mulligan and the Gosling? My dream Daisy and Gatsby? Oh yes. Yes indeed.

(Jim, you're too good for this Something Borrowed tripe. Stoppit.)

Posted by: coveredinbees at November 18, 2010 10:30 AM

This column is completely unnecessary. There is only one right answer and that answer is The Muppet Centipede.

Posted by: admin at November 18, 2010 10:30 AM

The Warrior's Way intrigues me. I mean, why is this young lady wielding a knife in a dilapidated estate with Late-Victorian-Gothic-styled stained and torn wallpaper? Who is she charging at? Yet, I give the edge to The Muppets for including Rolfe and Sam the Eagle. It needs more penguins, but it'll do.

Posted by: Robert at November 18, 2010 10:31 AM

Also, the make-up artist is earning his/her pay on The Raven. They made the Cusack look gaunty! Look at them manufactured cheekbones.

admin made me cackle aloud. At work.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at November 18, 2010 10:36 AM

Muppets, followed by The Raven, followed by Muppets again.

Posted by: Markus at November 18, 2010 10:36 AM

WHY IS JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE STILL GETTING MOVIE ROLES!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?! Yes, I feel that that deserves all caps.

Posted by: arrrghzi at November 18, 2010 10:37 AM

MUUUUUPPETTTTS! My biggest actor crush and the felty hooligans of my childhood coming together? I may swallow my tongue from excitement.

Posted by: Julie at November 18, 2010 10:38 AM

Also, Christina Hendricks is also in Drive. Also, The Transformers franchise can munch all the f*cks.

Posted by: coveredinbees at November 18, 2010 10:39 AM

Duh, Drive, obviously! It looks really low-key and boring, just like I love 'em. Shame they couldn't get Williams instead of Mulligan, but hey-ho.

Posted by: Caspar at November 18, 2010 10:40 AM

Most: Muppets
Least: Something Borrowed

Posted by: ed newman at November 18, 2010 10:42 AM

Muppets.

Now, what would have been a difficult question is, "Which movie would you be more likely to see while naked, based only on the set images?"

In which case...

Yeah, still Muppets.

Posted by: superasente at November 18, 2010 10:45 AM

Most: Muppets & The Raven
Least: Tom Cruish whatsit

Posted by: grace b at November 18, 2010 10:48 AM

Holy Smokes, what the f is Tom Cruise doing all the way up there? Geez. I will not see Men in Black 3; Something Borrowed or Transformers 3. Everything else, yes please. I love Ryan Gosling. And John Cusack as Edgar Allen Poe is cool but what's up with the sneakers?

Posted by: greenboogee at November 18, 2010 10:50 AM

Hate to say it, but I'm going with MI. That building scene looks different and cool. Muppets are not my thing, as I am old and never watched them as a kid.

The rest of them look like what they probably are: derivative, boring dreck with a bunch of stars I have no interest in watching ever again.

Posted by: max at November 18, 2010 10:50 AM

I pick MI too, but only if we can leave Tom Cruise up there.

Posted by: mswas at November 18, 2010 10:55 AM

Based solely on those images, the only one that piques my interest is The Warrior's Way.

Posted by: MM at November 18, 2010 10:57 AM

MI 4, Andrew Niccol’s Now and the Hangover.

Posted by: kerim at November 18, 2010 11:01 AM

In order: Muppets, Warrior, Now and Drive.

Posted by: Joseph Finn at November 18, 2010 11:05 AM

Like my grandma always says, "Tits."

Therefore, The Warrior's Way wins.

Posted by: Kballs at November 18, 2010 11:05 AM

@admin

If that was wrong, I don't want to be right.

When I lived in Vancouver, there was a local comedian who did a Muppet Pulp Fiction. it was hilarious and worth it just to hear Kermit say, "It's called a chopper Piggy".

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at November 18, 2010 11:09 AM

Muppets. The other ones don't exist.

Posted by: BWeaves at November 18, 2010 11:24 AM

The Muppet in the foreground needs to be shot in the face. The one with the camera-phone thingie. He doesn't look like a Muppet. He looks like an educational puppet, and for that, he must suffer.

All the other ones are fucking astounding and recognizable.

But yeah - kill the one in the front.

Point-blank.

Hate.

Me.

Posted by: Skitz at November 18, 2010 11:26 AM

Something about a Muppet with an iPhone just feels wrong to me. *shrug* I'm not a huge Muppets fan so I'd stream this on NetFlix when it became available.

Otherwise only the photos from "The Warrior's Way" and "Raven" really intrigue me. The concept for "Now" seems interesting, but I'd avoid it in theaters because of Timberlake.

Posted by: lubeg at November 18, 2010 11:28 AM

*shrug*

I thought he had been shot in the face which is why it looks like something just ain't right.

Posted by: Rykker at November 18, 2010 11:28 AM

And taking a harder look at the whole picture, it looks to me like that "wrong" one (with the iPhone) was photoshopped onto a real frame of The Muppet Show.

Posted by: Rykker at November 18, 2010 11:31 AM

Of course its Mission Impossible 4.

Posted by: supafly at November 18, 2010 11:34 AM

Muppets.

maybe T3. Maybe.

Posted by: LordNinja at November 18, 2010 11:37 AM

The Swedish Chef is the first segment, Animal; the second and Sweetums brings up the rear.

MMMMMMMMMMFFFF!

(arms waving)MMMmmmMMmMMMMmMmMMMFfMMFFfGLGHFFFFMMMMMMM!

Bork! Bork! Bork!

Posted by: admin at November 18, 2010 11:38 AM

Muppets. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Posted by: Littlejon2001 at November 18, 2010 11:48 AM

Muppets, Mission Impossible 4, and The Raven. Although I thought it was called "Nevermore".

Posted by: TylerDFC at November 18, 2010 11:54 AM

Muppets all the way.

it's true the fucking iphone carrying noseless creepy bland muppet in the front does look photoshopped.

the single detail of the prominent iphone is so soul saddenly disappointing. it made it hard to vote muppet when i could have gone with gothbanger cusack

Posted by: idleprimate at November 18, 2010 12:00 PM

You want to see how big that damn tower actually is watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWVLzVhnYE0

That video makes my balls detach and bury themselves. I don't like Tom Cruise but if that's actually him up there, he's far braver than I.

Posted by: Paultera at November 18, 2010 12:00 PM

Muppets, Christina Hendrick, The Raven and Warrior's Way

Posted by: LwoodPDowd at November 18, 2010 12:00 PM

The warrior's way. What can I say? I'm partial to a Victorian lady wielding a knife.

Posted by: Joker at November 18, 2010 12:02 PM

Drive

The Raven

The Muppet Movie

Posted by: NeoCleo at November 18, 2010 12:06 PM

The new bland Muppet is apparently jason whatshisname's roommate and a fanboy of the "real" Muppets. So for that I don't hate him. Yet.

Posted by: Anne (in Reno) at November 18, 2010 12:10 PM

Whatever Kate Bosworth is about to kill, I hope she eats it.

Posted by: jM at November 18, 2010 12:14 PM

Muppets ftw.

Don't make me link to Uncle Milton vs Stadler and Waldorf!

Posted by: Fredo at November 18, 2010 12:39 PM

I'm wondering why set shots from any Transformers movie should matter. At all.

Everything that made those movies at all worth watching was done in post production, by under appreciated CG artists.

Posted by: Sam at November 18, 2010 1:25 PM

1. Maybe if it were a documentary about suicide.
2. No.
3. No.
4. No.
5. No.
6. Yes.
7. Oh Hell No!
8. OH HELL NO!!
9. No.

Posted by: John W at November 18, 2010 1:44 PM

is that Galifinakis with a shaved head?????

Posted by: Renegator at November 18, 2010 1:49 PM

The new bland Muppet is apparently jason whatshisname's roommate...

Stop right there.

Jason...Statham? Is it Jason Statham? IS JASON STATHAM IN THE MUPPET MOVIE?! WHY DIDN'T I PAY MORE ATTENTION TO THAT PICTURE??!!!

[Scrolls up]

Oh, Jason Segal. I guess I like him. I really do, but it's kind of a let-down now.

I'll still vote for that. Based on the photo, at least. If we're digging deeper I'd go with Now because -- crappy title and Justin Timberlake aside -- I loved Gattaca and it's got Cillian Murphy in it.

Posted by: shanmarie at November 18, 2010 2:17 PM

I'm partial to a Victorian lady wielding a knife

Honey, just watch "The Talons Of Weng Chiang" instead. You'll thank me.

Posted by: Jay at November 18, 2010 2:28 PM

None of them. However, the thought of being perched on the tip of the highest building on Earth makes my head spin with a mixture of terror and jealousy.

Posted by: JR at November 18, 2010 2:29 PM

The Raven
Warrior's Way

and at's it.

Um...I love John Krasinski, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't stomach Something Borrowed, being that it's almost certainly a stupid wedding failure/feel good rom com. Ptooey.

Posted by: IneptFake at November 18, 2010 3:53 PM

Muppets (despite segal) and gosling.....drool

Posted by: Marche at November 18, 2010 5:25 PM

MUPPETS! Muppets! Muppets! Muppets!!!

Muppets (becase Segal is awesome)*
Posted by: Marche at November 18, 2010 5:25 PM

Fixed that for you

Posted by: ChristianH at November 18, 2010 6:14 PM

P.S. Wow, a lot of Timberlake hate in these comments. Why for?

Posted by: ChristianH at November 18, 2010 6:25 PM

raven

Posted by: maxpurr9 at November 18, 2010 7:08 PM

MUPPETS

Posted by: LAROLD at November 18, 2010 7:56 PM

MUPPETS, obviously. But where is Pepe?! I want Pepe!

Also, that Krasinski photo is making me angsty. Because oh, Jim. Why? And, if it's spaghetti in tomato sauce WHY IS IT NOT IN A BOWL. It's gonna get cold and then it'll be nasty! no!

Posted by: figgy at November 18, 2010 11:28 PM

It's a matter of personal pride to me that I refuse to see any movie with Justin Timberlake in it. That being said, I'll probably see all of these except for the one that douche is in.

Posted by: Kris at November 19, 2010 3:19 AM

I think I will just ask my urologist to put the cancerous nad back in to minimize the chances that I might accidentally someday see "Something Borrowed."

Speaking of balls ... could I have the spaghetti and meatballs?

Posted by: , at November 20, 2010 1:50 AM

I want to see why John Cusack is dressed up like Robert Downey Jr. Never saw that coming

Posted by: james at November 20, 2010 11:00 PM

Raven.

Posted by: Sarah Barkai at November 21, 2010 5:07 AM
