By Courtney Enlow | Seriously Random Lists | February 14, 2013 | Comments ()

Jeff and Dean Pelton, "Community"

Trent and Daria, "Daria"

Gypsy and Richard Basehart, "Mystery Science Theater 3000"

Shirley and Chang, "Community"

Jimmy James and Dave's mom, "Newsradio"

Jimmy: [Looking in Dave's desk] Dave, whatever happened to that photo of your mother?
Dave: Can you believe someone stole it?
Jimmy: [Smiling] Oh, right.

Joyce and Giles, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"

Dave and Penny, "Happy Endings"

For the record, I did and do not actually want this.

Jeff and Jane, "Coupling"

Marissa and Oliver, "The OC"

Think of how much more quickly we could have been rid of her.

Raj and Stuart, "The Big Bang Theory"

Zack and Lisa, "Saved by the Bell"

Manny and a boarding school, "Modern Family"

OH MY GOD, JUST GO. He's the worst.

Ally and John "The Biscuit" Cage, "Ally McBeal"

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • csb

    Jeff and Jane? NNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

  • e jerry powell

Yeah, but Jane did end up banging Jeff's replacement, if I remember correctly...

I think Jeff and Oliver would have made a better couple together than either of them would have with Jane.

  • Ash

    Shawn and Angela??

  • Rebecca Hachmyer

    Veronica and anyone but Piz.

  • melissa82

I was so sad when they shipped Jeff away. Jeff 2.0 was THE WORST! Aw, I miss Coupling...

  • pumpkin

Coupling is on Netflix instant. Yay!

  • Tinkerville

Jimmy: Is your mom still married to that guy?
Dave: You mean my dad? I'm afraid so, sir.

  • alwaysanswerb

  • Gabs

They could never be... because Kara and Sam forevs.

  • alwaysanswerb

Our opposing shipping feelings both still qualify them for this list!

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

I'm okay with Dave and Penny, but only because the alternative is Dave and Alex and while, yes, it's sequestering the least consistently awesome parts of the cast, I find it annoying.

  • Aaron Schulz

You get so many points for newsradio, and for finding a Gif from "Karate Monkey Death Car" and now i have to go watch buffy. good day madam

  • KatSings

LOVE Giles & Joyce. And Lisa and Zack dated for a large chunk of the show's run IRL, which I'm sure someone has mentioned already, but I'm too lazy to check.

  • Kballs

Wrong character. Zack and KELLY dated for large portions of the show. Lisa's character was cockblocked by Screech's unrelenting stalkery.

  • KatSings

You missed the IRL part of that statement, that implied that actors MPG and Lark Vorhees dated for much of the show's run. Which Rebecca linked to on this, too. :-) GAWD.

  • Kballs

    Textspeak, Kat? For shame.

  • Rebecca Hachmyer
  • Kballs

    Ugh, Ally McBeal.

  • Bedewcrock

Agreed. How about "Ally McBeal and Cancelled after 2 Episodes" instead?

  • Monica

Dave and Penny look like nice people.

  • Nadine

Easily, EASILY the greatest moment in Buffy's history. That was the most perfect thing in the world when it happened.

  • MissAmynae

The "TWICE!?" is still used frequently in this household as an exclamation of incredulity. Giles is, and always will be, hot as hell. If for no other reason than the fact that he loves the smell of books.

  • Nadine

We go for 'ON THE HOOD OF A POLICE CAR?!', because it is perfection. PERFECTION.

Man I wish I hadn't started to hate Whedon so much toward the end of that show.

  • MissAmynae

Indeed! I stuck in to the end, but wasted hours, man.

  • Nadine

    Seriously. Seriously.

  • Mmm, the Ripper can roll me into his undershirt sleeve any time.

    Or something.

  • DeltaJuliet

Dave and Penny are from Happy Endings.

  • BAH, I was apparently drunk on heart-shaped candies. FIXED!

  • foolsage

I was just going to post that. ;)

  • lowercase_ryan

Manny and a Boarding School, well played ma'am

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

I think if Manny is honest with himself, it's what he really wants.

  • LucyKlein

My hatred of Manny comes from my hatred of making child characters wise beyond their years. Kids are idiots that's why you have to buy plastic covers for your outlets.

  • LoLoJo

The Zack and Lisa SBTB was/is my FAVORITE episode! I remember being heartbroken when they never addressed it again. *Sigh*

  • A. Smith

Also of all of Zack's couplings it looked logical. They had been friends since they were kids.

  • becks

They dated in real life so it makes sense that they had a lot of chemistry.

  • BWeaves

    Giles and Joyce, YES!

  • Maguita NYC

Thank goodness! I freaked-out for a moment there and thought Courtney was regretting the dysfunctional possibility of a Giles and Buffy pairing (was looking at Buffy's picture while reading Giles' name)!!

But Giles and Joyce as over-grown teenagers were really cool, and Giles was kind of hot for a moment with his "T-Birds" rebel look. Just for a moment.
