The TBS network has seen fit to narrow down the field down to what it believes are the 10 Funniest TV ads of 2011. You can vote for your favorite at VeryFunnyAds.com. There are a few gems in here, and a few clunkers for what might be considered the “funniest” ad of 2011. The Clooney Ad gets my vote, although the Volkswagon ad popular during the Super Bowl comes in a close second. I also encourage you to check out the Vigorsol ad, not because it’s particularly funny but because it will give you nightmares. For the rest of your life.

Cravendale - Cats with Thumbs

DnB NOR Clooney ad

DORITOS® - Pug Attack

Jack Links Beef Jerky: Sasquatch Is Back

Kia Soul Hamster Commercial

Land Rover “Sword Collector”

Snickers “Party”

Lil' Vader remains cute. Funny? Not so much. But very cute.

The Clooney is brilliant.

Oh god I HATE that damn Hamster commercial. It freaks me right the fuck out.

I hate those stupid-ass "Messin' with Sasquatch" series of ads. There isn't a thing funny about any of them.

I thought the real version of that Kia Hamster commercial was the "Party Rock Anthem" version. That one looks like an extended remix.

TBS chose poorly (no surprise). Of the 7 or so spots listed that I've seen, one (Clooney) is amusing, one is cute but not really funny (mini Vader). Hamsters? Not funny. Snickers spots? Not funny. Sasquatch? Really not funny. Pug? Not funny.

A lot of the funniest ads running now are for insurance - Allstate (the "I'm a racoon" spot, among others), Farmers (the ones with J.K. Simmons) and State Farm (when the robot attacks and the guy says, "Man, that thing does not like Dwayne").

The Geico and AFLAC spots, by contrast, are - as always - repellent.

The Dad in Little Vader is Kovar McClure, who was a cast member in a movie we shot in July. Didn't know he was in the Lil Vader spot til a few weeks back which BLEW. MY. MIND.

Nipple guy for the win!

Clooney is an advertisement whore. The commercial's funny, though.

Pug and Vader are cute.

The one with the hamsters is going to give me nightmares.

The Vigorsol one was on TV here a few years back but with a different brand. Never did know why they aired that.

None of the Dean Winters' Allstate ads? That's just wrong.

'I've had like, four babies already!'

Another vote for Allstate ads -- blind spot is great...

Yah, that version of the hamster commercial is an unofficial overdub. The original track used was LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem

Seconding the love for that State Farm ad.

You forgot "Blind Spot" from Allstate short but so good

I happen to know the guy in the State Farm ad who makes the comment about the robot not liking his neighbor... he's been in a ton of commercials, and was recently in Morning Glory with Rachel McAdams....a Baltimore guy doin' big thangs!!! (I'm proud of my friend, what can I say??)

The odd thing is that the kid that plays 'Lil Vader looks uncannily like a very young Mark Hamill.

Pretty bad when an ad for VW can do a better job at casting someone who could be a young Darth Vader than George Lucas did (twice), and they had a mask on their choice the entire time.

I hate myself for commenting on list posts, because it seems so meaningless—our tastes do not perfectly align, holy shit! So I'm not going to complain about the picks... but I wish there was some reasoning given. I really can't comprehend anyone finding that Doritos/pug commercial funny, and if they do, I would like to know why. Was there any expectation that the dog would not knock the door down to get to the delicious Doritos? That man-gets-hurt will always play out over cute-animal-gets-hurt, even though the latter is almost certainly funnier (in a sick and shocking way)?

Someone help me on this, one of you must have an answer.

The Clooney one just KILLED me; it's genius!!

And the Snickers one also made me laugh, esp. at the end.

But the Vigorsol one was just gross. Ew, ew, ew.

The VW dad is hot! Thanks for his name BrockW!

I agree about the Allstate guy! "I'm snow! Like you, I've been getting heavier all winter." If I were a guy, I'd be him for Halloween.

I just wonder what the victims did to deserve getting their locks lopped off.
