And now I'm experiencing jamais vu with the word "best."

YAY! New expression! "Jamais vu" indeed.

Are the films graded in the manner of some school papers? Did you write the name of each of the films on an index card and then throw them down the stairs? The higher the ranking, the farther it flew? (Except The Best Years of Our Lives which is deservedly number one. That is one fantastic movie.)

The only one of these I can swear I've seen is The Best of Times, which my brother and his asshole friend spoiled while I was watching it.

These lists are getting more pointless by the day here.

I have a suggestion for the next one: Ranking movies with numbers in the titles. Or movies that begin with The.

Exciting stuff.

"Are you gonna fix her car?"

"Hell no, I love her!"

Such trolling with that header picture. Such trolling.

This list should be the "worst best films." (But then, Best Years of Our Lives wouldn't belong.) Ah, now, maybe a more fun-- funner--- list would be "the best worst films." Can't think of one.

Oo-ooh, I love to dance a little sidestep
Now they see me, now they don't
Oo-ooh, I love to sweep around a wide step

I love Charles Durning.

This list would have failed without Best of the Best.

Werner Herzog's My Best Fiend. That's the only one I came up with that wasn't already here.

The Best Years of Our Lives is on my "OMG its on" and I have to watch list...yes daughter, its black and white, yes son, war sucked back then too, yes husband STFU....

You're seriously suggesting The Next Best Thing was better than My Best Friend's Girl? That's how much you hate Dane Cook and Kate Hudson? Let me tell you something, The Next Best Thing isn't better than ANYTHING.

Also, are there really this many movies titled The Best Man?

Hmm.. It's funny, I would have expected "Best of the best" to be much higher up the list.

Posted by: Sage at July 29, 2011 11:44 PM

Is that the best you can do?

Posted by: Darcy at July 31, 2011 3:12 PM
