"Game of Thrones," Tina Fey, Star Trek and Louis C. K.: Five Things You May Not Have Heard About This Week

Don't miss the Important Stuff--it may have happened when your clocks jumped ahead (sneaky bastards).

5. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Ritz Theater Hosted a "Game of Thrones" Gallery Show.

For those lucky dogs attending SXSW, not only do they get to see all the cool people and film premieres, they can slam a few...

...and check out the Mondo gallery of screen prints and original "Game of Thrones" inspired art. The show runs through March 14th, but if you can't attend in person, check out more of the artwork here.

If You Need a "GoT" Recap Before Season 3 Begins (March 31st), David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Several Cast Members Are Here to Help You Out:

4. HBO Released a Trailer for Louis C.K.'s "Oh My God" Special.

There's nothing for me to say; just watch the trailer. "Oh My God" premieres on HBO April 13th at 10 pm (EST).

3. Tina Fey Told a Photographer to Go Fuck Himself.

If only we could all sound so polite when we let our expletives fly. Tina let the annoying weasel know she didn't care to discuss Taylor Swift anymore (so say we all); our love for her grew three sizes that day.

2. A New Trance Clip Brought Us in on the Heist.

Danny Boyle's latest film is a mind-trippy, robbery-gone-wrong thriller starring James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson. I fully expect to be pitched down a hypnotic rabbit hole and frankly, I cannot wait. Trance premieres in the UK 27 March and hits stateside theaters (limited) April 5th.

Additionally, Boyle Confirmed at a SXSW interview that the Trainspotting Sequel is On.

Via The Playlist comes news the director will indeed helm the sequel (based on Irvine Welsh's Porno) in 2016; the original cast is expected to return, including Ewan McGregor.

1. The Second Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Continued to Cast Its Irresistible Spell.

Damn you, Abrams! Damn you to hell. As perhaps one of the only NotFans of Abrams' 2009 Star Trek, I promised myself I wouldn't see the follow-up. But like the lure of an evil, freshly baked jelly doughnut (warm...fluffy inside, dusted with powdered sugar), I cannot resist these trailers--Chris Pine is sucking me in. Aaaaaargh. Star Trek Into Darkness and Benedict Cumberbatch slither into theaters May 17th.

Cindy Davis, (Twitter) wants a jelly doughnut SOBAD.

This is the ONLY trainspotting worth watching .... the other was horrible drech!! Ruined my childhood, it did .....

  • lowercase_ryan

It's a testament to Danny Boyle that my first reaction to this news wasn't punching my monitor.

  • mswas

"Punch It!" PROOF that Abrams is going to meld the Star Wars and Star Trek universes. If Jar Jar Binks materializes in the transporter room, I'm outta here.

  • JJ

That and a callback to Bruce Greenwood's character saying it in the previous Trek. But the Enterprise emerging from the water? That's so Dagobah.

  • BWeaves

    Captain, there be whales here.

  • manting

was at mondo today - love their gear

  • Sara_Tonin00

That is a fantastic trailer for Heist. Even the fact that the beginning seems like an advertisement for some cool little European car.

(but does Macavoy have only one sideburn?)

  • Melissa D

I read Trainspotting and ran out to get Porno when it came out, and I have to say...I was highly disappointed. Trainspotting felt fresh and shocking and dirty and ugly, all without being preachy or moralizing (which in itself was disturbing at times). It was uncomfortable to read, but it was a GOOD read. Porno just made me feel dirty. And the ending of two of our characters felt really contrived, IMO. I remember Ewan McGregor saying years ago that he wasn't interested in doing Porno because the story had already been told, and I have to say I was relieved. I really hope he doesn't come back for it.

  • DataAngel

Really skip Skagboys. It was just disappointing.

  • PDamian

The first photo (the one of Dany and the horse heart) looks like knockoff Patrick Nagel: http://www.patricknagel.com/ga...

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

For Star Trek, they appear to be spending a fuckton of time not just on planet surfaces, but on Earth. It's really coming off more like Star Trek Into Fringe Division.

  • Irina

I haven't seen Trainspotting in soooo many years so my first reaction was "Is that Kevin McKidd?" Yes, yes it is. I feel so old. And so horny. It's a complicated feeling.

  • Mrs. Julien

    You'll get used to it.

  • That second poster is kind of terrible. What the hell is that? A combination of a Mario game and The Hobbit?

But the rest are really good.

And there's no way I'm missing out on the second Star Trek. I will take any Karl Urban I can get.

  • Sherry

I'd like to amend this to say "any Karl Urban in a good role I can get." I love the man but boy, can he pick himself some bad movies. Sigh.

  • He can't help it if we're the only ones who have recognized his brilliance*!

  • Sara_Tonin00

seriously, it's *all* about Karl Urban.

  • It really should be.

  • Arran

While I'd LOVE to see the Trainspotting sequel, isn't this about the fourth time that Boyle has publicly insisted it's definitely happening?

  • Natallica

Between those three the set of Trance must have been a perpetual hot off. McAvoy would come early in the morning and charm everybody with the pure power of puppy eyes, then in lunch time Cassel would show him and everybody else that nice guys finish last and sleazy can also be charming. And, in the end of the day, Dawson will crush them both (and eventually bag the director) with legs and only legs.

  • Ozioma

The first part of that header (before the colon) sounds like the beginning of a 'We Didn't Start the Fire' filk.

  • Wembley

Enterprise has a boat throttle? Like from Galaxy Quest? Did I miss that last time 'round?

  • Well, Enterprise-E had a joystick.

  • Stephen Nein

Yes, it did in The Motionless Picture. And while Abrams' version has a lot of *lens flare*BOOM*lens flare*, Cho had a styling throttle in the first film.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

    Yeah he did?

  • Idgiepug

Isn't there one in the original (like, Shatner original) Enterprise?

  • Aaron Schulz

Mustve, its there, sort of unreasonable, especially since the touch screen slider things are the bomb.

  • I would think an evil jelly doughnut would be dusted with powdered malevolence, or maybe the crushed hopes and dreams of adorable small children

  • Maguita NYC

A sequel to TRAINSPOTTING... with Danny Boyle.... AND McGregor... *Faints.

Will Johnny Lee Miller be back with his luscious lips and Billy Idol hair?

  • e jerry powell

Kevin McKidd and find a way to squeeze in Daniel Craig and I'll camp outside the movie theater for a week ahead of time.
