"Game of Thrones," Tina Fey, Star Trek and Louis C. K.: Five Things You May Not Have Heard About This Week
Don't miss the Important Stuff--it may have happened when your clocks jumped ahead (sneaky bastards).
5. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Ritz Theater Hosted a "Game of Thrones" Gallery Show.
For those lucky dogs attending SXSW, not only do they get to see all the cool people and film premieres, they can slam a few...
...and check out the Mondo gallery of screen prints and original "Game of Thrones" inspired art. The show runs through March 14th, but if you can't attend in person, check out more of the artwork here.
If You Need a "GoT" Recap Before Season 3 Begins (March 31st), David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Several Cast Members Are Here to Help You Out:
4. HBO Released a Trailer for Louis C.K.'s "Oh My God" Special.
There's nothing for me to say; just watch the trailer. "Oh My God" premieres on HBO April 13th at 10 pm (EST).
3. Tina Fey Told a Photographer to Go Fuck Himself.
If only we could all sound so polite when we let our expletives fly. Tina let the annoying weasel know she didn't care to discuss Taylor Swift anymore (so say we all); our love for her grew three sizes that day.
2. A New Trance Clip Brought Us in on the Heist.
Danny Boyle's latest film is a mind-trippy, robbery-gone-wrong thriller starring James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson. I fully expect to be pitched down a hypnotic rabbit hole and frankly, I cannot wait. Trance premieres in the UK 27 March and hits stateside theaters (limited) April 5th.
Additionally, Boyle Confirmed at a SXSW interview that the Trainspotting Sequel is On.
Via The Playlist comes news the director will indeed helm the sequel (based on Irvine Welsh's Porno) in 2016; the original cast is expected to return, including Ewan McGregor.
1. The Second Star Trek Into Darkness Trailer Continued to Cast Its Irresistible Spell.
Damn you, Abrams! Damn you to hell. As perhaps one of the only NotFans of Abrams' 2009 Star Trek, I promised myself I wouldn't see the follow-up. But like the lure of an evil, freshly baked jelly doughnut (warm...fluffy inside, dusted with powdered sugar), I cannot resist these trailers--Chris Pine is sucking me in. Aaaaaargh. Star Trek Into Darkness and Benedict Cumberbatch slither into theaters May 17th.
