Even though I hate the piece of shit - Moulin Rouge, which certain people on this site lurve.
Also, you can go with Kieslowski's Red, White, Blue trilogy.
And of course, White Nights, with Gregory Hines & Mikhail Barishnokov.

"Blacks on Blondes."

You could have used Grey Gardens instead of a crap-ass porno which, to be fair, the title of doesn't even contain a color, not really, I mean I feel like that's kind of cheating on the concept, not to mention that even without having seen Sasha Grey's Anatomy I can tell you the other is way better. Plus you used three colors twice, which, I don't know, also seems kind of like cheating.

Men In Black and The Green Mile, not that either were that great, but I liked 'em both:-)

I'm looking at that poster for Pitch Black and all I see is anus.
Posted by: Leigh at May 29, 2009 2:31 PM
I second (third?) Fried Green Tomatoes. Damn straight, Towanda!
Also, I think this seriously random list is the one that most accurately reflects the title "A Seriously Random List." Well done.
Posted by: Kate at May 29, 2009 3:10 PM
@Leigh That's not anus...it's Vin Deisel's face.... Oh wait, I see your point.

No Blue Velvet made me sad. That movie is fuuuucked up.
Posted by: misterorange at May 29, 2009 4:22 PM
No Blue Velvet?!
For shame. Any other color movie should bow to David Lynch and his disturbing eye for surreality.
There could also be the Trois Colueurs Trilogy, I am Curious (Yellow) and Gray Gardens. Just some thoughts.

No Purple People Eater? For shame!

Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, you bastards!
Posted by: Melodie at May 29, 2009 5:42 PM
What about The Big Red One?
To whoever enquired about Sasha Grey's Anatomy, I also felt that was cheating but maybe Dustin is doing this because he realised that by mentioning Sasha Grey often the site gets much more hits! Every few days we get a Sasha Grey/porn update!
Posted by: barf at May 29, 2009 5:57 PM
Oh shit. I love me some "My Blue Heaven". I will have to watch it this weekend now.
"You can unscrew a light bulb."

Shit, bleujayone beat me do it.
Must read closelier next time.
Posted by: Odnon at May 29, 2009 6:41 PM
Biloxi Blues?
Primary Colors?
Posted by: Odnon at May 29, 2009 6:57 PM
Great list (Sasha Grey's Anatomy! Watch it with my mom all the time) but I am slightly disappointed about the exclusion of the three colors trilogy. Oh, and KUDOS to whoever suggested A Patch of Blue. Damn fine film. Same goes for Blue Velvet, Purple Rose of Cairo and The Red Shoes.
And, how about: Swept Away...by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August?
Posted by: vic at May 29, 2009 7:13 PM
How about The Golden Compass?
Posted by: Bonnie at May 29, 2009 8:18 PM

"Marooned"?
Oh wait, that sucked.
Posted by: , (the commenter formerly known as bucdaddy) at May 30, 2009 11:04 PM
Seconded on 'The Big Red One.' I decided to give the newer, 4-hour-long directors' cut a watch and was blown away. It's an incredible piece of filmmaking.
And yeah, leaving out Kieslowski's Three Colours is kind of inexcusable. I was also totally expecting 'Blue Velvet' - it was one of the first that came to mind when I read the post title.

la reigna: "And yeah, leaving out Kieslowski's Three Colours is kind of inexcusable."
THIS. "Bleu" is one of the absolute finest films I've ever seen. I have such a girl-crush on Juliette Binoche....

What? No Blue Velvet?
