Why haven't I killed Morgan Spurlock yet?

Posted by: Jay at March 22, 2011 12:34 PM

Not the Mel Gibson one. We've seen him be crazy before (for pay and for free). I'm pretty much over it now.

Posted by: Slash at March 22, 2011 12:38 PM

Been wondering that, too, Jay. I know my damn check cleared months ago.

Based on these posters, Assassin is my go-to. But, really, Takashi Miike just gets me.

Posted by: RobP at March 22, 2011 12:40 PM

"Assassins." I know this isn't that good of a reason (since you're probably asking based on the strength of the visuals), but I will watch any movie by Takashi Miike.

"Wuss" comes in at a close second.

Posted by: superasente at March 22, 2011 12:41 PM

The Catechism Cataclysm has possibly the greatest tag line I have ever seen.

Posted by: Socrates_Johnson at March 22, 2011 12:44 PM

The Innkeepers. It looks old school, and I want to be 12 again.

Posted by: Julie at March 22, 2011 12:45 PM

Brit Marling x 2!

Posted by: sars at March 22, 2011 12:45 PM

RobP, we are soul brothers of kung-fu.

Posted by: superasente at March 22, 2011 12:49 PM

13 Assassins, Natural Selection, The Inkeepers, Sound of My Voice, and Turkey Bowl.

I really want to see 13 Assassins now, though. Right now. Today. Is today the 25th? No? Then today is stupid.

Posted by: jM at March 22, 2011 12:52 PM

1 - YES
2 - NO
3 - NO
4 - OOOOOOOHHHH
5 - The creepiest thing is them credits
6 - Ugh. Scott Pilgrm + Twilight??
7 - Too disturbing
8 - What is this? The 80s?
9 - Nipply in here
10 - Requiescat en pace, bitch!
11 - Hey look! An asshole with a beaver!
12 - That is no way to cook a turkey
13 - Is that Guy Pierce?
14 - From the guys who brought you NASCAR...it's Nude Track & Field!
15 - I don't even want to make a joke here.

Posted by: Fredo at March 22, 2011 12:53 PM

Oh, but your question.

I want to look at Rebecca Hall.

That's the closest I can get to actually answering.

Posted by: Jay at March 22, 2011 12:55 PM

Assassins, Another Earth, and Sound of My Voice.
They intrigue me.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at March 22, 2011 12:55 PM

ohhh, it's *13* Assassins. I see now.

Posted by: Anna von Beav at March 22, 2011 12:57 PM

exactly none. maybe my sucky teen romance.

Posted by: janellest at March 22, 2011 1:01 PM

13 Assassins, Silver Bullets, and Catechism Cataclysm.
With curiosity piqued by Another Earth, Bellflower, and Sound of My Voice.

Posted by: Rykker at March 22, 2011 1:09 PM

The poster for 13 Assassins looks like it was drawn by whoever does the covers for the comic book The Unwritten, which I love, but I've really gotten tired of samurai movies.

Posted by: Narwhal at March 22, 2011 1:09 PM

Morgan Spurlock partial nudity... DO NOT WANT.

Natural Selection would be my pick.

Posted by: Mel C. at March 22, 2011 1:17 PM

most of those posters looked enticing/intriguing. at the very least, they looked a hell of a lot better than posters designed for big wide release films. and I'm not talking my film tastes, but the hook of a poster.

Posted by: idleprimate at March 22, 2011 1:26 PM

Bellflower and Sound of My Voice. I like the poster for Silver Bullets artisticly, but it doesn't really make me want to see the movie.

Posted by: MM at March 22, 2011 1:45 PM

I saw Sound of My Voice at Sundance - and though I greatly enjoyed it, I would not pay to see it again. Another Earth was always impossible to get into, but I heard great things.

Posted by: Jenn at March 22, 2011 1:50 PM

The last one looks like a black metal album cover.

Posted by: Steph at March 22, 2011 1:57 PM

A film by Takashi Mike.

The rest can suck the sweat from my hamster's balls.

Posted by: I.J. Reilly at March 22, 2011 2:40 PM

There were early screenings of 13 Assassins in Denver this past weekend (two of 'em to be precise; one Saturday night and one Sunday afternoon). I drove 14 hours roundtrip on Sunday to catch that day's screening. It was totally worth it; just sayin'...

Posted by: just me at March 22, 2011 3:28 PM

Bag of Hammers, Natural Selection, Wuss, and The Greatest Movie Ever Sold.

Posted by: grace b at March 22, 2011 3:44 PM

Argh! 13 Assassins! I got that title so wrong, I don't even deserve to see it. @Narwahl: You're right, though, that does look like the Unwritten covers (combined with old school Japanese paintings -- so, rad).

@superasente: Since you're already in my head, you wanna work on this headache I've had all day? It just won't go away, the butthole.

Posted by: RobP at March 22, 2011 3:44 PM

But I do want to see Turkey Bowl, most definitely.

Posted by: grace b at March 22, 2011 3:45 PM

"Natural selection" seems like fun.

Posted by: James at March 22, 2011 5:19 PM

The poster for Silver Bullets is amazing. I'd watch that and 13 Assassins. I think I'd stay away from Natural Selection based on the poster alone, because it looks to be some horror film about incest and cannibals.

Posted by: figgy at March 22, 2011 5:27 PM

The poster for The Sound of My Voice is the one that I truly find intriguing. Why does she have breathing assists on? What's with the white robe? What is the movie about? I gotta know!! Seriously, though, great poster.

Also, the one for Bellflower looks 'splodey, so I like that one, too.

Posted by: noodlestein at March 22, 2011 6:44 PM

Natural Selection is the most enticing one. It looks funny and sinister.

Posted by: Rigby at March 22, 2011 7:35 PM

Sound of My Voice is GOOD. Saw it at Sundance. I liked Another Earth, too.

Posted by: jzhz at March 22, 2011 8:55 PM

I'm so irrationally excited to see Insidious. I know I shouldn't expect anything special from the makers of SAW, but bloody-disgusting gave it a solid review and I'm dying for some horror.

Posted by: valerie at March 22, 2011 10:28 PM

Another Earth, Sound of My Voice, and Natural Selection

Posted by: Even Stevens at March 23, 2011 12:19 AM

Man, I was hoping that was Alia

Posted by: Protoguy at March 23, 2011 3:36 AM

'Catechism Cataclysm' poster looks like 'The Wall'.

Posted by: HopeHope at March 23, 2011 7:34 AM

I'm with idleprimate on this one, based on these posters alone, I'd rather see these movies than 99% of wide releases. Except for the Mel Gibson and Morgan Spurlock ones. Those are just gross.
