1. Scott Bakula’s New Orleans accent on NCIS: New Orleans
With the start of a new NCIS tonight comes the otherwise superb Scott Bakula’s awful take on the bayou accent.

2. Karen Gillan’s American accent on Selfie
Karen Gillan could easily become America’s next sweetheart: she’s adorable, charmingly sassy, and very funny, but that image is ruined once you hear her speak in Selfie. In a role all about changing a person’s appearance and manners, it doesn’t do her any justice, especially when it’s inspired by the women who go to SoulCycle, as she told HitFix.

3. David Tennant’s American accent on Gracepoint
If you’re going to basically remake the excellent Broadchurch, then, really, let the Scot keep his beautiful accent. Brits live in California, too.

4. Aiden Gillen’s English/Irish hybrid accent on Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is a hot mess of accents, and Littlefinger’s strange mix of English to Irish accent (the latter being Gillen’s actual accent), sometimes in the same scene, is no exception.

5. Rebel Wilson’s American accent on Super Fun Night
Another case of an international accent kept under wraps, Rebel Wilson left her fun Australian accent behind in favor of an unpleasant American one.

6. Michael Rappaport’s Southern accent on Justified
The New Yorker has his Northeastern accents down, but make him slow his voice down to the speed of a Floridian born and bred in the swamps, and it doesn’t work at all.

7. Julianne Moore’s Boston accent on 30 Rock
Really, the winner of this entire list, Julianne Moore’s trying-way-too-hard Boston accent should be wiped away from the world completely. Her feeble attempt wouldn’t pass muster at Harvard, nevertheless trying to park her car in the Harvard Yard.

8. Anna Paquin & Stephen Moyer’s Southern accents on True Blood
SOOKEH! BEEL! Enough said.
