A couple of weeks ago, AdFreak — the online publication devoted to advertising — unleashes its 30 Freakiest Ads of 2010, the “weirdest, goofiest, grossest, silliest and freakiest” of them all. You should head on over there for the entire list, but below are the top five of 2010. But before that, we’ll begin with number 30, a groin-achy CPR ad that involves one woman in her underwear performing CPR on another woman in underwear.

I know a lot more about CPR than I ever knew now.

Super Sexy CPR from Super Sexy CPR on Vimeo.

Here are the top 5.

5. Snickers

4. True Clean Towel (This one made me gag a little)

3. Diesel Sneakers (The ole’ Foot in Your Ass Chase)

2. Sony Playstation (Adorably freaky)

1. National Domestic Violence Hotline (Haunting. Truly haunting)

Titillated, disgusted and finally left sobbing. You could have bought me dinner first Rowles.

Wow that #1 was really intense.

Did Super Sexy CPR actually air anywhere? That just can't even be real.

That last one... wow. That was... difficult to watch. But rather brilliant, really.

People who abuse their spouses and/or children (or anyone, I suppose) should really just be exiled. From the solar system.

I know I always wear my best lingerie when I'm planning to stop breathing. Just in case I'm turned bisexual by the near-death experience.

You can never be too careful.

I feel raped by the last one..

Who would want to R you?

Nobody else found the baby head on the man body really creepy? Granted it lightens up toward the end but at first it was just weird.

Posted by: PaddyDog at April 27, 2011 10:59 AM

I really want to watch #1, but I just finished reading a blog about a woman who had a placental abruption AND a cord relapse at the same time whose miracle baby survived, so I'm already crying at my desk... maybe I should wait.

Meh. My balls are never so clean as the moment I get out of the shower.

You do get that most men expect their lovers to be turned on by the very same thing that made you gag in the towel spot, don't you?

Posted by: Anon at April 27, 2011 11:26 AM

#1 is freaky but every bit effective. Well done.

The domestic violence one was really well done. Disturbing and sad, but well done.

That grocery store lady freaks my toddler son out - and not in a good (ha ha, look at the baby afraid of the tv!) way. That's a sick mind, whoever came up with that.

Super Sexy CPR ads should air 24/7 on every network in every country in the world. If even NO lives are saved, it will be worth it.

Grandma collapses on the floor: "Help ... meeee! I .... think I'm ... having a .... heart .... attack."

Me: "When this commercial's over, Grams."

Thanks baby buster. I needed a laugh.

Becks, as usual the real joke is Buster's small, still in the shrink wrap penis.

Posted by: Mrcreosote at April 27, 2011 11:39 AM

The sheer icky creepiness of the Snickers commercial scares the living bejesus out of me. Great. Now I have to change my pants. Again!

These are all the stuff of nightmares, I tells ya!

Except for the kick ass shoes. Run lil' butt. Run!

Actually current CPR guidelines are to start chest compressions immediately and not worry about mouth-to-mouth except perhaps to clear the airway. No more "ABC", just start pounding away.

Also if you don't break the ribcage you're not pressing hard enough.

Not nearly as sexy, I know, except perhaps to Eli Roth.

Odd. Just flippin... odd.
The #1 though? Made me gasp out loud.

The last one is heartbreaking.

The Snickers lady looks and sounds like Paula Poundstone.
