Pure artist. I don't like her art, but I respect the purity.

She was here a few months ago and she wore something very Björk-y. She's still amazing live.

For me the main difference between GaGa's and Björk's style is that GaGa has to turn everything into a statement while Björk wears that stuff because she's Björk.

Right. GaGa can't just let a picture be a picture - she has to break it down into words. Bjork just loves the world.

I feel that Bjork herself left this message, and it translates as something fey, haunting, and ultimately unknowable.

I find her style kind of awesome, but her music gives me migraines. Don't get me wrong, I like the music, but it honestly made my brain hurt after prolonged exposure.

Yay the bell/cone dress! I got to see it in person when I was at the Iceland Airwaves Festival in 2006. She donated it to a vintage clothing store in Reykjavik, and they kept in the window.

Which is the bell/cone dress?

It's the silver one that is sort of tube-like and stands up from her shoulders, in the picture where she has the braid over her face. The dress is entirely covered in little bells. It was funny because I saw the music video at the hotel room, and went out and just happened across the dress about an hour later. She had a little bell-boy too.

That last picture was rather subtle in comparison with the acid trip that was the other outfits. Gaga seems so tame now. So very, very tame.
