What about Macaulay Culkin in "The Good Son"? Or Rebecca DeMornay in "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle"?

Rowles... TK... as much as I appreciate your lists and USUALLY agree with them... come on! You can't just befoul the good name of Arnold!!!! He's awesome. As far as the Stallone's and the Van Damme's of the time Arnold was the fuckin best of the best. You can get piss drunk and watch his movies, or you can be hungover from a night of getting piss drunk and watch his movies. They're (mostly) classic! I can't sit idly by as you tarnish the name of Arnold in film... you bastards you.
Love you guys.

David Carradine as Bill
possibly the only role where you don't actually laugh at his acting.
Posted by: smithee at July 1, 2010 2:40 PM
Don't forget the always hilarious Mr. Freeze that Arnold so subtly portrayed.

Dolph is just one of those guys whose performances are so completely unmemorable that I must just stare at his face and assume he sucks...so I stare a little more to be sure.

Lucy Liu and Keifer Sutherland are terrible actors?
I'm compelled to defend at least three or four of these in that they are far from "terrible actors" in my opinion, but I lack the resolve at the moment.
And although I'm something of a fan of his, I thought maybe that Billy Zane would show up on this list for Demon Knight.

I'm not buying it with Stephen Dorff's Deacon Frost. For all his scenery-chewing, he looks like one solid pimp slap from Snipes and he'd be on the street as Wesley's number one bitch.

Lucy Liu and Keifer Sutherland are terrible actors?
That's a joke, right?

Hey, Biff did his part! Don't hate on the Biff.
Posted by: aidan at July 1, 2010 3:26 PM
Whoa, whoa, whoa, you guys. Thomas F. Wilson was pretty great in Freaks and Geeks. Since I only know him as the coach from that and Biff, I'm forced to conclude that he is at least an okay actor.
All the rest is fine by me.

Are you insinuating that Kiefer Sutherland is a BAD ACTOR? WHO DO YOU WORK FOR? WHERE IS THE BOMB????
I would also like to add Alexander Godunov as Max in The Money Pit, and both Peter MacNichol as Dr. Janosz Poha and Wilhelm von Homburg as Vigo in Ghostbusters II.
Kristanna Loken as T-X in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
Good concept. Good list.
But she sucked. She was about as fantastic as a Colonoscopy performed with a plunge router by an over-excited chimpanzee.
and thank you dammitjanet for ruining Ghostbusters II. I always THOUGHT that was Fred Thompson as Vigo. It made the movie better.
Posted by: D-Day at July 1, 2010 3:40 PM
Pfff, Kristanna Loken was a sucky villain as well. Not the slightest bit menacing which is sorta a perquisite for a villain, no? Please, Miss Barbie Doll, don't hurt me!
And yes, do take O-Ren & Jack off this list; or they'll totally whip your ass!

Kiefer Sutherland is not a terrible actor.
Stephen Dorff does not make a fantastic movie villain.
Posted by: Todd at July 1, 2010 4:06 PM
At the risk of getting booed, I'm going to add
Robin Williams
After years of being annoyed by his roles/shtick, his work in One Hour Photo and Insomnia made me a fan.

Oh no. You did not just call Robert Englund a terrible actor. Just because a man chooses to do horror films does not mean he is a bad actor. His work outside of ANoES stands for itself as the strongest defense to that. Frankly, the genre could use more trained Shakespearean actors who know how to develop and commit to a character in seemingly ridiculous circumstances.
My favorite thing about Dolph is his masters in chemical engineering. That and he was accepted to MIT on the Fulbright Scholarship, I love a smart guy with muscles. He actually is a pretty interesting guy.

how about Eric Bana as Nero in the latest Star Trek?

The line is, "Boards don't hit back" and Lee said it to Bob Wall's O'Hara, not Bolo.

Don't be dissin Kurn...I mean Tony Todd. His voice is buttery goodness with a dash of menace. Yum butter..what were we talking about?
So you go let's see, you've got Mike Myers, terrible actor, really? He doesn't even go out of his comfort zone I wouldn't call him terrible. Natasha Henstridge? Was Sil even a villain, i don't know what Species YOU folks watched but the one I saw just had an alien trying to survive in a hostile environment, maybe you guys got the Idiots Edition Box Set. And then you go and start ragging on Worf's brother?
Fuck this list.
Posted by: BarbadoSlim at July 1, 2010 7:33 PM
Tony Todd was excellent in Deep Space 9 as the grown up Jake Sisko.
Posted by: The Kilted Yaksman at July 1, 2010 7:41 PM
Robert:
Jim Varney was a classically trained Shakespearean actor...I'm not sure that movies need more of that
Posted by: ASterisk at July 1, 2010 7:53 PM
Biff...wha...Lucy, no...TONY TODD??!?!!!
With all due respect, fuck you both. In the ass. With a chainsaw.
Which it exactly the response you wanted, I now realize.
k, you're just trying to be contrary here. all memorable villains, some of the decent actors some of them not so much. i only see one terrible actor in the list.
i'm used to trolls in forums, but a troll authoring the list. hmmm, is it harder to get a rise in the summer when people aren't hibernating at their computers?
LUCY LIU IS A GREAT ACTRESS. JEALOUSLY IS JILARIOUS!!!!
Posted by: Chris at July 1, 2010 9:36 PM
Aww, Keifer Sutherland isn't a bad actor! That's not fair. And Mike Myers? I mean...I admit his last couple of movies weren't great but...actually yea what am i saying. This list is good, except for Keifer being on it. Though he is great in Lost Boys and Stand By Me...probably because he's a GREAT ACTOR!
I figured that since this was right after the "Kevin Spacey is a bad actor" article that he would be on this list for Lex Luthor. Can't deny he was pretty good in that...

Defending Tony Todd here. Great actor, incredible voice.
~
Tony Todd is awesome. He is so awesome he even managed to elevate an episode of Smallville to something worth watching way back in the day.

Exactly what some really good audio players for kids? My cousin is 5 yoa and for christmas I want to buy her a ipod, she loves my nano but I think it might be difficult for her to utilize it. Are there a bit of good ones for kids?
What about Macaulay Culkin in "The Good Son"? Or Rebecca DeMornay in "The Hand that Rocks the Cradle"?
