Something weird and wonderful and very Reddit-like has been going on on the main subreddit for It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, r/IASIP.

A user posted this still from the Season 8 episode, ‘Pop-Pop: The Final solution,’ and simply titled it ‘Daredevil (2003)’:

That was enough for the thread to run with it, leading to imagery that either hilariously contrasted with the movie title assigned to it, or which revealed a whole bunch of intentional movie references scattered throughout Sunny.

The Devil Wears Prada (2006)

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)

The Shining (1980)

Birdman (2014)

Carrie (1976)

Whiplash (2014)

Field Of Dreams (1989)

The Thing (1982)

Spider-Man 3 (2007)

Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

Blacula (1972)

Forrest Gump (1994)

Gravity (2013)

And, basically: if you don’t now have an incandescent desire — nay, need! — to see classic movies remade by and starring the Sunny gang, then I am afraid to contemplate on what plane of existence you operate.
